Positive: The apartment was at a good location, very central. The owner was very good at communicating and helpful. The apartment was spacious and had a lockable drawer (a bit like a safe) in the twin room. The owner arranged for their driver to take us to the airport at the end of our stay for 15USD, this was very helpful and handy as it was prompt. Having a fridge and good WiFi was very good.
Negative: The air conditioning was very poor in the double room, it was very difficult to sleep in that room, we had to take it in turns to sleep there and in the twin room. The water system was very temperamental to work. As a family of four we booked out the whole apartment. As a couple, I would still recommend booking out the whole apartment otherwise the living room and kitchen was shared. The double has an ensuite but the twin room has a bathroom in the shared area. The pillows were extremely thin and lumpy. Their was no base for the kettle, only 1 saucepan and not enough big spoons for 4 people.

Positive: Location location location! This was a fantastic spot in the heart of Stone Town, close to everything and at an affordable price. It has AC in the room which is crucial. The hosts were very responsive, communicative, and friendly, and the airport pick-up was seamless.
Negative: This place has a quirky water tank system where you have to remember/monitor filling up the tank, otherwise you run out of water while taking a shower, but once you learn it, it's very easy to manage.

Positive: This is a beautiful place! It was very clean and everything was in working order. The furniture and bedding was very comfortable. It is well appointed with dishes, pots, pans, eating and cooking utensils, spices and basic cooking requirements, toaster, blender, grill, soaps and shampoos, towels and cloths, and anything else you might need plus some! Heat and a/c units worked well and there were plenty of fans to move the air around. The large porch offers a terrific view!
Negative: Though beautifully decorated, it was also overdecorated. Kitchen countertops, dinner table, main room table, end tables, and bathroom countertop all required that we clear them of decorative items in order to have space enough for us to easily use them. The property may prove challenging for those with mobility disabilities.
Summary: Beautiful place for relaxing and being with family or friends.
