2 Bedroom Cabin in Durango

Updated cute and spacious bunkhouse-like cabin for a romantic retreat in a small old west-like town. Incredible views of Lightener Creek and trout ponds. Feed the rainbow trout and domestic ducks, hike, ride mountain bikes, and enjoy a campfire. At 6900 feet, it's cooler than Durango so bring a jacket for the evenings. Rustic on the outside, but completely modern inside. Quick access to the Colorado Wildlife area, hiking of Twin Buttes, and only 10 minutes to downtown Durango. Close to skiing, fishing, hunting, and all the recreation the Durango area offers.
You can cross-country ski or ride mountain bikes out the front door!
Pets are welcome but please keep them off the beds and couch as the hair is challenging to remove. We will watch them for you if you're taking the train or going somewhere you can't take them.
Weddings and other special events are possible. Please call if interested.

Summary: We loved the secluded feeling of this property. Great to walk the dog around the 30 acres and watch the fish in one of the several ponds. Yun (hope I remember that correctly:)) was amazing - her artwork and chatting about the different things growing on her property. It's also a quick drive to downtown Durango and the reservoir...but nice to get out of the hubbub!

Summary: This cabin is set up perfect just outside of Durango. It provides seclusion from the hustle and bustle of a busy Durango day. A nice escape when you want to slow things down. Not to mention beautify views, especially at sunrise.

Summary: We loved our stay in Dan's cabin! The beds are cozy, the location is close enough to town but away from the noise. Check-in was easy and effortless. Dan was there to welcome us on our arrival and explained where to find anything we might need. We loved walking around the property at sunset and seeing turkeys and deer. Definitely a great stay for the price. There was a steady rain on our last night and the rain on the metal roof was so relaxing. Would definitely stay again if we return to Durango!

Summary: Very nice relaxing place to stay. Great location to downtown Durango. Plenty of wildlife to watch. If you love camping without the tent this is the place to stay. Beds were cozy just like the overall feel of the place. Very Welcoming and would stay again.

Summary: Loved the simplicity of the Bunkhouse! The creek running through the property and the trout ponds added to the charm. We didn’t even turn on the tv. It was a wonderful location close to Durango that felt miles away.

Summary: We has a wonderful stay at the bunk house. 30 acres of meadows, rainbow trout ponds to ourselves. A rental property that is very unique. The owners were very friendly and inviting. Highly recommend staying here. Is very close (5 minutes) to DT Durango.
