The 1954 Red Railroad Caboose provides seclusion on five wooded acres located four miles from the Mississippi River. The Caboose features a conversation area, an updated kitchen, new bath and gas fireplace. A double size futon and set of bunk beds provide sleeping for up to four people. Relax on the outside deck or in the hot tub while surrounded by nature at it's best.
Enjoy all the activities which nature provides, including trout fishing within walking distance.
Local dining is plentiful and casual with the well known Great River Roadhouse overlooking the Mississippi River only a fifteen minute drive away.
Sit in the cupola of the caboose and read a book or scope out the wildlife from the wrap around view.
Pets: Pets are accepted with an additional, non-refundable charge of $40 payable at time of reservation. Pets may not be left along in the Caboose or on the property.
Guest Clean Up: Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Prior to 11:00am check out guests are required to clean the caboose and leave it in the same condition as check-in. All Trash must be removed and put in trash container on deck.. Trash bags are provided.
Check-In is 3PM, Check-out is 11AM.

Summary: Had a great time here. Had everything we needed. I loved how secluded it was. A perfect getaway! We really enjoyed the hot tub. The owner was very thoughtful and left us a giftcard to a nearby restaurant and some wine and waters in the fridge. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We were thrilled to be staying in an actual railway car that was turned into a comfortable and cozy suite. While the location is somewhat remote, it was about fifteen minutes from main roads that led to area attractions, restaurants, etc. Our host John was very accessible and accommodating, providing a truly unique travel experience.

Summary: This was our second time visiting the caboose, and it won't be our last! The host is very responsive and kind, and we really appreciated the welcome note and goodies. The caboose itself is a dream, especially surrounded by snow. We loved spending our day hiking and our night cozy in the caboose. Our pups loved it, too!If you're looking for a hike and scenic drive, I highly recommend Wyalusing State Park. We saw 7 Bald Eagles on the drive from Wyalusing back to the caboose!
