What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Summary: Our stay was amazing, although the road noise in the two front rooms where annoying I guess it's only until the road is opened again on state highway 1. The venue was lovely and we all enjoyed the 1920s theme, we even dressed in period clothing for dinner on the sat night. The house was well set up with everything we needed, and close to visiting the mountain. I would recommend this venue, especially for large groups.

Summary: This property is absolutely amazing inside. The attention to detail with the restoration and decor is fantastic. It is spotless and has everything you need - with the added bonus of a spa, sauna, and firepit. The only downside is that it's on a main road and when the trucks go past, the house literally shakes. It's a shame that the speed limit is 70 instead of down to 50kms/h. The hosts are great and responsive. My teenagers loved the quirkiness. There is a lot to do in the area and just behind Owhango - the Ohinetonga Scenic Reserve is gorgeous with a safe swimming spot on the river.
