Relax and unwind in our fully furnished, log cabin home located in Schroon Lake. No, we are not located on the lake, but we are on 34 private acres adjoining state forest on 2 sides. We are only a short 5 min. ride to the free public beach and boat ramp. Golf course located just outside of town. This 4 season vacation home combines all of the excitement of the outdoors with the luxury of a modern cabin.
Schroon Lake is a beautiful scenic lake located in the Adirondack Mountains, and no more than a 30 minute car ride to the town of Lake George with its many restaurants and attractions. At approximately 9 miles long and one mile wide at the widest point, the lake is host to many aquatic past times that include water skiing, tubing, fishing, and ice fishing. Fish that reside here are lake trout, landlocked salmon, pike and small mouth bass.
In the winter, enjoy ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile riding, and snowshoeing. Ski resorts are not far away! Lake Placid is located a scenic 45 minute car ride away, while Gore Mountain is just 30 minutes away. Hunting areas are located close by with many large tracts of public forests.
The Town of Schroon Lake includes pubs as well as restaurants, grocery store, and many shops to buy everything from souvenirs to fishing supplies. Summary: This is the second time renting this cabin. We enjoy the privacy of the property and it’s close proximity to the town of Schroon. It’s a short drive to get meals. My husband and I bought property nearby and it’s great to be able to get familiar with the area. We will stay here again.

Summary: Our third time staying at this beautiful cabin!!! If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a great small town within 5 mins that has good restaurants and everything you need this is the place. Perfect place to get away from it all!! Lots of hiking areas close by which is nice also!!

Summary: We appreciated a warm cabin feel in, and outside the home. Judy made communication simple with her quick responses. We were, however disappointed with the upper shower, as water leaked onto the main floor while in use, due to a poor silicone adhesive seal on the shower glass to frame near floor. Also, I didn’t appreciate a drinking glass I pulled from a kitchen cupboard, which had a lipstick stain. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Summary: My family had a great time in this beautiful cabin. It was clean and stocked with e writhing we could have needed. The fire pit was great for evenings together after hiking!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay. The place was super clean. The only thing I wish was different was the beds to be completely made. I did not mind bringing linens but after traveling the last thing I want to do is make beds in order to sleep in them. The cost was fair because the place is beautiful but when you pay that much you should not have to make and unmake the beds. Especially when people like myself leave the place just as clean as we found it. Even with all that I would still recommend this rental.

Summary: Property was remote, as listed, & a just a few minutes to Schroon Lake. Cabin itself was beautiful. Kitchen has everything we could have wanted. Judy was very easy & pleasant to deal with! The only issue we had, is that the upper bunks would be a better fit for children. Too close to the ceiling for us adults. A great vacation!
