8 Bedroom House in Saugatuck

Rustic modern West Michigan escape with a sprawling open concept floor plan and jaw dropping Gathering Room that provides ample space to spread out and remain comfortable. The design of the lodge is inspired by the beautiful nature in Michigan, with modern rustic elements integrated throughout. Award winning artist and interior designer Diane Hasso has added her amazing touch with many one-of-a kind design elements that you need to see for yourself.
The kitchen has a commercial oven range, two refrigerators, and is fully stocked with plenty of gadgets (mixer, baking dishes, mixing bowls, pots and pans, serving dishes, etc.). There is a beverage cooler and ice maker in the bar.
Everything is situated on one floor (no stairs) with 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have one King bed, three of the bedrooms have one Queen bed, two of the bedrooms have 2 sets of queen beds, and then there is a bunk room with 6 twin beds. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom, except for bedrooms 7 and 8, which share an adjoining bathroom.
The outdoor area is spacious and includes a cozy private covered pavilion with fireplace. No need to bring firewood, as it's included with your stay. Outdoors there is much to keep the group occupied including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, ping pong, and cornhole. There is ample parking suitable for 10 cars.

Summary: The house and property had everything we needed and more. We had several people with mobility issues and there were no problems accessing the house, rooms, or outdoor areas. The furnishings, appliances, and amenities far exceeded our expectations. The house is close to tourist attractions and downtown, yet still felt secluded and private. Our group ranged from 1 year old to 73 and everyone had a great time! Highly recommend!

Summary: Great property. Lots of amenities that are high quality. Very functional kitchen. Super location for area activities. Kids really enjoyed games (foosball and basketball particularly) and activities (s’mores making) that were available on the property. Bedrooms and bathrooms are well apportioned. Our entire group of 17 ranging from 2-87 years of age thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Property manager/owner very responsive.

Summary: Tangled Root is a marvelous gathering place. Indoors there is plenty of room for a large group, although it could use more sound absorption for our loud family. The outside offers so much wonderful space for sitting and talking or playing games. We enjoyed being close enough to town to walk in, but far enough away to enjoy privacy and nature. Just loved the tall trees at the edge of the property. Thanks for your creativeness.

Summary: We had such a great time here. Great outdoor space for kids to play games, grill and hang out. The space was very comfortable for a big group and well appointed. Property manger and owner very responsive. Easy to bike downtown and very close to two great beaches. Very cute shops and galleries. Really loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.

Summary: Lovely setting, beautiful architecture. Plenty of space for our family members. We utilized all of the outdoor games available there and the proximity and access to other venues. The lovely shelter out back with its wood burning fireplace was enjoyed every evening! We created great memories!

Summary: We had the best time with our group of 17 adults (late 20s to early 30s). We used almost every sporting equipment, walked to town, utilized the Saugutuck shuttle, and cooked a fancy meal in the awesome kitchen. The extra drink fridge and ice maker were especially appreciated. Everything was clean and worked as expected and I felt confident that the property contacts were going to be responsive. 10 out of 10 would love to stay here again!! We loved the outdoor fire pit area at night!
