The Space:
Two queen-sized beds, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, streaming entertainment, coffee machine, high-speed business internet, and if needed, a work station.
Amenities:
Take a dip in our heated pool (typically heated April - Oct) or enjoy a cold drink in our outdoor Biergarten or patios, perfect for al fresco dining, all while surrounded by lush gardens and the beauty of nature.
Enjoy the outdoor fireplace, s’mores kits, two grills, infrared sauna, koi pond, farm-fresh eggs daily from our chickens, pool towels, beach chairs, and relaxing fountains throughout the property. See info about kids amenities below.
A note about well water:
Our water comes from a well and is treated with an advanced Evolve water purification system. It's clean, safe for drinking, showering, and daily use, and free from typical well water odors as much as possible. We regularly test it to ensure its quality.
However, if you're very sensitive to well water or find its hardness bothersome, this may not be the right place for you. For pure drinking and cooking water, there is a separate faucet with reverse osmosis filtration.
Guest Access & Hosts on Premises:
You would be the only guests on the property. The property is self-check-in, and hosts are available on-premises and happy to help you with anything you need during your stay.

We are a kid-friendly space with an outdoor baby/toddler swing, plenty of toys, a baby countertop bathtub, kid's books, and a Pack n-Play. Children will have a blast feeding the chickens and koi fish and swimming in the pool.

Summary: What a charming, peaceful place to stay! I don’t know where to start. The minute the gate opens, you feel like you’ve entered an enchanted garden. From the large open yard to the winding paths with hidden gardens, there’s so much to see. The teens had a ball exploring and hanging out on the tree house deck. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace, the pool, the sauna and the pavilion. Then there is the adorable round house! Oh and the farm fresh eggs! The owners are precious and have excellent communication.We loved every minute of it and plan to go back again.

Summary: This home is a rare find. The accommodations are lovely and has everything you need along with small touches throughout the home to make you stay more comfortable. The artistic flare throughout the home fit perfectly for my family who are all artists. What they have outside is beyond words. Such beauty and serenity plus plenty of spaces to explore nature. My grandkids loved it. The koi fish ponds, the pool area, the secret garden and tree house & swings were favorites. The sauna and bar areas pleased all adults and the outside oven for bonfires and smore's. The gracious Hosts were available and helpful.Definitely want to go back and stay in the summer.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully unique house and property. It felt like you were in your own relaxing world. It was a great location. Close to John’s Island main drag and about 20 minutes to Charleston. The owners are wonderful people who put their heat and soul into this place. I highly recommend this property.

Summary: Overall awesome experience. Very nice accommodations. Pool and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Hosts were fantastic. Location central to beaches and Charleston, and far enough out to be quiet and private in the evening. We couldn't get the grill to light one evening, and the very next morning he had a brand new one! Ten out of ten, highly recommend.

Summary: The grounds are so beautiful with their luscious gardens, pool and other areas to relax and enjoy. Wish we had spent more time at Sailor's rest and not been off the property as much. There were also wonderfully delicious restaurants nearby.

Summary: Our family had the most relaxing vacation at Sailor’s Rest! Ginny & Neil have built a tranquil and peaceful oasis! We enjoyed daily swims in the pool, sauna and exploring the property - koi pond, treehouse, chickens and more (daily eggs were amazing!) Communication with the owners was wonderful - Neil & Ginny were such gracious hosts! Having the beach pass was an added bonus, as we visited the Kiawah beach throughout our stay. We’ll be telling everyone about Sailor’s Rest.

Summary: Sailor’s Rest is a dreamy oasis for RR. We loved our time there. Neil and Jinny are wonderful hosts with fascinating travel stories and they exceeded every expectation we had upon arrival. The hubby loved having fresh eggs each morning. The heated pool and sauna were lovely. The location was close to everything we needed…beach, restaurants, breweries, grocery stores. They provide guests with a pass to gain entry to Charleston County Parks which we used several times. The parks are fun for biking and Kiawah County Park on the beach is absolutely gorgeous! If downtown on the peninsula is your scene you can get there pretty easily at most times of the day. Traffic is heavy leaving the Island during normal rush hour times and lunch time. The Angel Oak, just down the street a bit, is a must if you’ve never seen it. Enjoy a little slice of paradise at Sailor’s Rest!
