Summary: Absolutely outstanding on every parameter - super friendly and attentive staff, fantastic rooms, pool, grounds etc. And all this 15 mins by complementary boat shuttle from San Marco. We’d come back in a heartbeat <3

Summary: One the world's finest hotels. Location service and food are outstanding. Some tips I wouldn't advise guest to miss the last shuttle back in the evening as getting a water taxi late is hard. Also the spa is understaffed and seems like somewhat an after thought. That being said the grounds, grooms, location and service is nothing short of exceptional.

The grounds are absolutely breathtaking—lush gardens, open spaces, and a sense of calm that is rare to find in Venice. It felt like staying in a private estate rather than a hotel. Our room was elegant, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed, blending classic Venetian charm with modern comfort. Every detail felt intentional and refined. The entire atmosphere of the property is serene, luxurious, and effortlessly sophisticated. One of the highlights was the balance this hotel offers—you can immerse yourself in the energy of Venice during the day, then return to complete peace and relaxation in the evening. That contrast made the experience even more special. The staff were warm, gracious, and attentive, ensuring my birthday celebration felt truly memorable. Summary: Although recently reopening after a refurbishment, the property did not seem especially modernised and the room and public spaces were much the same as our previous visit 10 years ago, albeit with a decade’s more use. The restaurant was incredibly overpriced, although the food was good, but the team were clearly very new and so service was inconsistent and missed bread, amuse bouche etc for some tables; wine list was forgotten and then the wine itself was not poured for 30 minutes until we asked for it to be opened. Those members of the restaurant staff who knew what they were doing were good but half the room of tables were unserved for 20-30 minutes at a time, so more than one table of guests walked out. There are some nice touches like the kids room, bikes and it is great to have some quiet outside space in Venice. The boat service is great fun, although the gaps in the timetable often coincided with our needs to travel back with young children, unfortunately so we spent a lot on water taxis as well. As a summary, the lovely property is let down by inconsistent service still finding its feet after reopening and tired feeling rooms which did not seem to have been refurbished at all, together with a very overpriced restaurant, so not worth the premium price overall.
