2 Bedroom Cottage in Southern Shores

Sitting just 100 yds from the beach, Sea Breezes North is inviting and comfortable the minute you walk through the door. Each side of the duplex has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a living/dining/kitchen area. A unique sliding wall allows for rental of both sides with a common dining area, (when the wall is open). Each kitchen is fully equipped. There is cable TV, DVD, and wifi, a private deck with grill and heavenly outside showers on each side. The Town of Southern Shores was founded on volunteerism and continues to be cared for by a strong team of members of the community. It is a community committed to preserving a safe, family friendly beach and sound area. Beach and sound access is limited to property owners and renters, so over-crowding is not an issue. Access to the beach from Sea Breezes Cottage is a short 100 yard walk. Although across the street from the beach access path, the cottage is in a strictly enforced 25 mph zone of Ocean Blvd, making crossing the street easy and safe. The North side of the cottage is identical to the South side unit except in bedding. On this side, there is one bedroom that has bunk beds plus an additional twin. The second bedroom has a king size bed. There is also a queen size sleep sofa in the living area.
Please note we do not have laundry machines at the cottage, so we do not provide linens. There are linen services in the area that can provide these if you do not want to pack them. We do have pillows with protective covers, blankets and bed spreads. You will need to bring your own sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and beach towels.

Summary: Great location. Short distance to Nags Head, Corolla, and Kitty Hawk. Easy to locate. Shopping and amenities close by. Landscaping could use some work as the house was a little hidden. Easy to get to the beach. Overall was convenient and comfortable with the feel of a quaint cottage.

Summary: This is an affordable, clean, centrally located property in Southern Shores. It's very dated compared to all of the surrounding houses and could use some cosmetic updating (it's all wood inside with low lighting) and landscaping but it fulfilled the needs for our family trip! It's a short walk across the street to the beach and not far from Kitty Hawk and Duck. If you need to do laundry while staying the closest place we found was in KDH which was about a 20-minute drive. Bring sheets, towels, and a bath mat. Dish towels/paper towels and toilet paper. A mat to put at each doorway could be useful too. The other side of the duplex was rented out and we did hear the neighbors a lot, but I'm sure they heard us too. It's like that at any rental with more than one section. It was not an issue for us. The hostess Anne was very quick to respond to any questions we had! I would choose this rental again!

Summary: Wonderful old flat top cottage! Very short walk to the beach. Sad that several huge, multistory homes are so close—one was noisy, one had windows that could look directly into our patio area. We lucked out with our duplex neighbors, but that is always an unknown with renting half of a duplex.

Summary: The property is lovely. Super clean and very comfortable. Doesn’t feel like rental at all but more like home away from home. It’s a little dark but has cozy lamps in the living room and gets lots of afternoon sun on the kitchen side. Very quiet area and can hear the ocean. Really enjoyed our stay.
