The Accommodation
The holiday cottage is a recently renovated single storey, 2 bedroom, stone and timber barn and offers guests a taste of eco-living with solar panels and ground source underfloor heating and hot water.
The living room has a beamed ceiling and wood burning stove (logs provided free of charge). It is simply furnished with two comfy sofas and a coffee table. A drawer unit contains a few family games and there is a TV with freeview and a DVD player and a shelf full of books for those quiet times indoors.
Double doors lead out on to a private patio area with table and chairs.

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The beds are made up ready for your stay with duvets and cotton bed linen.
The kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a dining area.
The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower over.
Guests with Limited Mobility
Robbie's Barn is single storey and level throughout making it suitable for those with limited mobility. Wheelchairs can gain access, although assistance over thresholds may be required and the gravel in the parking area may prove problematic!
Electrical sockets and light switches are within the heights recommended as suitable for people with disabilities.
Safety
The cottage is recently renovated and means of escape are in compliance with current building regulations. There are hard wired smoke alarms in the living areas and an interlinked heat detector in the kitchen.
A dry powder fire extinguisher is provided in the kitchen as well as a fire blanket by the hob.
Care should be taken with the wood burner. Please leave it with the doors closed.
Outside Area
The property is within the grounds of the owners home. The grounds extend to about seven acres of pasture with a large attractive pond and a small flock of shetland sheep.
Guests are invited to enjoy the grounds during their stay but are advised that children should not be left unattended around the pond.
