Positive: The breakfast was really good ,and the staff was kind.

Negative: 1)there is no elevator trust me after a long day of walking it becomes hard to climb to 4th floor with luggage . 2)there is no public transportation to this place , it requires you to walk for some time ,hire a cab if u can . To be fair the hotel staff did arrange a shuttle for me to yumoto hakone station but it was only one time after checkout .

Positive: The indoor onsen is clean and spacious. The room is big, decorated in a nice western Japanese style. All amenities are provided. It is an easy 10 minute walk from train station. You get a nice view of the creek along the walk.

Negative: The shuttle bus to station should start at 8 am as people want to start explore area early. The outdoor onsen need to switch time between man and woman.

Negative: Rather dated decor / facilities but well maintained and clean. Access to our part pf the hotel, at least, was restricted and by stairs only. Dismal ‘back yard’ outlook from room. Room 202.

Summary: Good location, 10 minutes or so walk from Halone-Yumoto train station and main bus stops.
