Summary: We first stayed in this property about 10 years ago (not sure of exact year) and were so pleased when it became available to rent again. For two people in their early seventies, it was worth the climb up two sets of stairs to be able to stay in this roomy apartment with its view over the canal; and the sound-proofing on the windows made it very quiet. Although it is roomy, I'm not sure that it would work for a group of five because of the way the bathrooms are arranged. There was no wash basin in the only toilet and all the (very generous) washing facilities were together in one other room, so not easily shared at the same time.

Summary: A beautiful house and well located, but in the middle of a heat wave it turned out to be difficult to sleep at night. Although the description of the house advertised Wifi, it turned out that there was none. Parking in the area is very expensive and scarce, the space offered by the property was appreciated even though it is difficult to access.

Summary: The apartment is spacious and very centrally located, with a beautiful view of the canals and very near to shops and restaurants. It is simply furnished, but has everything you need. Even during the highest temperatures southern France has EVER experienced (June 2019), it was bearable, if not very comfortable in the appartment. I can recommend it. Tip: take the bus and have a meal in a restaurant by the port in Marseillan.
