Positive: The accommodation was comfortable but minor details such as curtains not drawing easily and lacking hooks and the skirting board under the drawers in the kitchen falling off every time you close a drawer were irritating. WARNING Do not park under the trees. My hire car was so covered in bird dung I had to take it through a car wash just to see out of the windscreen - and even that didn’t remove it. On the plus side the bed was really comfortable and the kitchen facilities were very good.

Positive: The room was well equipped, garden views and garden access is fantastic when traveling with pets. The kitchen has everything needed to cook a home made dinner. Caroline was exceptionally attentive and helped us sort out any issue or question were had whilst staying.
Negative: It is a bit inconvenient that the laundry room is outside in a separate room, but nothing major. Internet could also be better with higher speeds, but I guess it would be faster when there's not a full occupancy of the neighbouring cottages.

Positive: The cottage’s are in a great location. We were down for Christmas to spend with family in Maidenhead so needed somewhere local and it was in a prime position for walks down to the river. The cottage was big enough for our stay having two bedrooms so we used the one room to store presents and walking gear etc, and being pet friendly was an added bonus. The beds were very comfy and the cottage was nice and warm.
Negative: There are a couple of things which in our opinion let this cottage down and doesn’t make it 4 stars. The shower head needs replacing, the shower only trickles water and it’s obvious the head is quite old. The welcome pack says there is a starter pack but there was no milk in the fridge so making a coffee meant we had it black until we purchased some (it was Christmas Eve) . The kitchen is quite basic (not an issue for us as we were eating at family homes) and some of the cabinets look a bit tired/not shutting properly. The information pack stated to remove bedding before leaving (strange i thought) but we did and noticed no pillow protectors and all the pillows looked quite worn ( basic hygiene in my opinion) Overall the cottage is dated and needs a refurb, so not value for the price we paid, which is a shame as it could be beautiful given the location.
