Shorebreak is located at stunning Bowentown, which is the Southern most point of Waihi Beach. The self contained flat is small, though it has a separate bedroom with a king size bed, and it has a pull out sofa bed in the small lounge. The unit is comfortable and private and has access to the large fenced and gated back yard. The accommodation is close to both ocean and harbour beaches. The ocean beach access and beach front reserve walkway is just across the road. It is only a short walk to Anzac Bay harbour beach, a popular lookout, and secluded Cave Bay and Shelly Beach. Bowentown is a great location for all water sports activities, swimming, kayaking, fishing, skiing, and when the swell is right, even surfing. It is only a short drive to restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Waihi beach is a gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula, and also the fascinating rivers, walkways, and cycle-ways of the Karangahake George.

Summary: Great little unit for the two of us and our little dog. Despite the poor weather we had a pleasant stay in this clean and tidy unit. Location is great, close to the Bowentown Beach and short drive to Waihi Beach, Katikati and Waihi

Summary: This accommodation was a great place to stay for us and our dog - very much appreciate having a dog friendly house. The unit was clean and tidy, had full kitchen facility, was a great size unit, and in a really good location. Only downside was not having wifi - this should be standard these days. People might think it is great to get away from 'being connected' however when it is a wet weekend, it is helpful to have wifi. Very much appreciate the owner being flexible with moving stay dates because of terrible weather.

Summary: We had a wonderful long weekend stay. The unit had everything we needed and the fully fenced yard meant it was so easy with our dog. Location is stunning, 2mins to the beach and short drive to Waihi Beach. Communication with Graeme was easy. Thanks for a great stay.

Summary: This is a very small unit but perfectly located for the beach. It was great that we could take our little dog with us. At the time of our booking it wasn’t mentioned in the description but the second sleeping area was the sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen space is tiny but you mostly use the unit as a base, rather than a holiday house. There’s no salt, pepper, oil, but there was tea, coffee, milk and chocolate. The backyard was fully and securely fenced for the dogs.

Summary: The property is beautifully placed within 50 yrds of a magnificent beach . Don't be fooled by the blandness of the name Bowentown. A short walk from the home up the hill produces a spectacular view of the ocean and inlet all at once. If the Waihi area is on your agenda then shore break is the ideal location.

Summary: Shorebreak was a perfect space for us The location was great! Beach (surf) access is right across the (quiet) road, and a short walk takes you to the sheltered Anzac Bay. There is a lovely short walk from here to Shelly Bay. For those with littlies there is also a playground within walking distance. My daughter stayed with her preschooler and newborn and Shorebreak was wonderful for her. She didn’t need to use her car while there.Thank you Graeme for sharing your piece of paradise. We’ll be back!
