Positive: The two level suite is very comfortable. The view is great, but it should be understood that this part of Qualicum has virtually no sand, even at low tide, so the view is on to a very stoney beach, beyond the narrow strip of sand which is located right in front of the building and is a long way back from the sea.
Negative: Unfortunately, the previous guests before us did a very poor job of cleaning the pans and utensils, all of which had removable stains and morsels on them. Also, the coffee machine was still full of their last grounds. Considering the cleaning charge which is levied, it was very disappointing that the cleaner did not inspect or correct this. Our unit did not have a dishwasher, which is really an essential feature if the management is not going to ensure a proper kitchen cleansing process. It appears that leaving dishwashing to guests at pain of a $25 fine, when there is a high cleaning fee already, might encourage guests to do the absolute minimum.

Negative: Dirty inside. Broken glass beside bed upstairs. Sink in bathroom clogged. Dead squished bugs on shower ceiling. Deck was covered in sand. Felt dirty.
Summary: Beautiful view but dirty place. Need to work on their cleaning.

Positive: Nice view, maybe we'd request for the lower suite next time. It will work better with kids. Also convenient for us because of the kitchen with complete kitchen items.
Negative: The sofa bed was not clean and not comfy. We had to cover the mattress to make it feel sort of comfy and clean.
