Situated on 4 acres of private property and surrounded by 250 acres of pristine forest and 1 mile from Sherwood Forest Nature Preserve, our property is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Featuring 3 custom designed bedrooms with Queen Size beds + 1 bedroom with king size bed, 2 full bathrooms, open concept kitchen/ dining room / living room, and large game room.
Central A/C and Heating and 2 electric fireplaces
There are 6 smart TVs on the premises (1 in each bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the game room) with free WIFI internet and free Netflix.
Our kitchen is fully loaded with high end appliances as well as dinnerware, glassware, cookware, bakeware, utensils - all to help you feel like at home! Perfect for casual cooking or chef's masterpieces.
Coffee lovers can chose from Keurig, Regular Drip Coffee Pot, and French Press. We provide Keurig cups, ground coffee, instant coffee, creamers, sugars & sweeteners and more.
Selection of teas, spices, and other kitchen basics are provided.
All guests have access to our laundry room which comes with a supply of laundry detergent.
FLOOR PLAN:
Ground Floor - Game Room
Main Level - Master bedroom with king size bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, laundry room, living room, dining room, kitchen, office area, and hallway.
Top Level - 3 bedrooms (2 with 1 queen size bed each/1 with 2 queen size beds), and a bathroom with a large bathtub and walk-in shower.
THE HOUSE ACCOMMODATES UP TO 10 PEOPLE INCLUDING CHILDREN OF ANY AGE.
ALL GUESTS MUST BE DISCLOSED ON THE RESERVATION due to Licensing and Insurance Purposes!!
PROPERTY IS MONITORED VIA OUTDOOR SECURITY CAMERAS.
Only entrance to the house, parking area, and our long driveway are monitored. There are no cameras indoor OR in any other areas as we value our guests' privacy.
Tempering with the WIFI OR the camera system would be ground for immediate termination of the reservation with NO refund.
The house is perfect for small 'get togethers ' and low key weekend getaways but it is NOT A PARTY HOUSE (NO high school graduations).
We however welcome 'special occasions' such as birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, and even small weddings - as long as the maximum occupancy is adhered to at all times.
PRICING:
We utilize what's known as 'base pricing' up to first 4 guests to accommodate smaller groups such as families (generally 2 parents & 2 children) and/or lover's retreats (generally 1 - 2 couples) which we host a lot and who might not be able or willing to come and stay with us IF we charge one large price based on full occupancy.
After the first 4 guests, there is an extra guest fee of $25 per person per night for each additional guest up to our maximum occupancy of 10.
Infants and toddlers (up to the age of 2) stay free BUT are included in the occupancy.
This system is quite popular as it's fair to guests - smaller groups are not overcharged and can enjoy the property, fair to hosts as the running expenses (energy/supplies) are directly proportioned to the group size, AND it's the only system that allows for updates in guest count AND the price - loved by all.
Finally, as we are located in the beautiful Pocono mountains, there might be occasional 'burn ban/fire ban' in effect to protect public safety and the environment. These are rare but completely out of our control and as such, no refunds will be issued IF a burn ban/fire ban is in effect and the outdoor fire pit cannot be used.
We are located in the mountains and all power lines/utility lines are above the ground, occasionally there might be loss of power and/or internet due to weather and/or other unforeseen circumstances. As these are completely out of our control, no refunds will be issued in case of loss of power or internet service.
We know there are quite a few houses to choose from. We hope that our house can charm you with its personality, originality, location, and unique amenities as well as the fact that it truly is a sanctuary :)
