Located on the coveted North End of AMI, our one-bedroom cottage is the quiet getaway you are looking for. Enjoy the tranquil north end of the while remaining within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants.
The living room in Snail's Pace features two recliners and a large TV and is steps from the kitchen and dining nook for two.
The bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, 43-inch TV, and crisp linens and plush towels from our professional linen company. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer.
The lovely backyard shares a dock on a canal with the two other cottages on the property. Three single kayaks and two double kayaks are available for the guests to explore the canal and waterways. When ready to relax, a variety of chairs and loungers as well as comfortable hammocks are available. There's also a full patio dining set and gas grill for enjoying your meal al-fresco.
Snail's Pace is a dog friendly property! If you have added a pet to your reservation under number of pets, the fee of $150 per dog plus tax has been added to your reservation total. ** 2 Dog Limit **
Snail's Pace is easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and a short walk to the free island trolley, which travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches. The perfect location for your next beach vacation!

Summary: This property was true to the listing, very clean and comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed a lot of time on the dock where we caught fish, and the walk to the beach was minutes - we enjoyed morning walks up to Bean Point and loved the proximity to Pine Avenue!

Summary: We enjoyed the stay tremendously. The location was great. Walking distance to restaurants and beach, which is what we went for. Only minor issue which was resolved was the host forgot to send access to enter instructions so I had to research how to get ahold of them. It was after hours so I had to find emergency number. Finally got ahold of them and received the code over the phone.

Summary: Conveniently located to the most beautiful beach and the loveliest of shops on this side of the island. Plus the mangoes were an amazing surprise treat! The canal has jumping fish that make for peaceful entertainment when having coffee or a beer on the dock. Book this place you will not regret it but please save me a week next year because we will be back!

Summary: Perfect for two! Everything we needed was at our disposal. Nice quiet location very close to the Gulf. We walked to the Gulf in 3 minutes. Very clean and renovated. We both loved this place. Sits back off the road. Almost forgot to mention the canal and dock in the back yard. Situated within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. We would highly recommend this rental and are thinking of coming back this fall.

Summary: My wife and I stayed the week prior to Easter here at Snail’s Pace, and it really was a perfect getaway. The location is phenomenal. We spent our mornings paddle boarding in the lagoon behind the house, which is brimming with wildlife, and even saw a couple manatees hanging out. We’d then spend the rest of the day lounging by the beach, which is just a short walk. The scenery was beautiful, and it’s much quieter on the north end of the island. Plenty of good food within walking distance as well. As for the cottage itself, despite its small size, it truly had everything we needed, and was very well thought out.

Summary: Snails Pace is the front half of a duplex. The back half faces the lagoon. Nice little yard area to walk the dog. Very quiet neighborhood, everything we needed was avaliable even some fishing gear and a beech wagon. Kitchen is well stocked. Note the coffee maker takes those large cone filters. But ther is also a bean grinder so you can bring your favorite and grind fresh.
