Valhalla Recreation Area, which features a ski jump, incredible XC and fat tire biking trails in the winter and hiking/mountain biking in the summer, is just up the road. Few other lodging options in the area make it so easy to get out and enjoy the hundreds of miles of trails. And if you happen to work up a thirst or appetite, the wonderful Pub & Grub bar/restaurant is a short walk (or ATV/snowmobile ride) from the cabin.

The cabin features an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a comfy couch & chair, dining table with seating for four, fully-outfitted kitchen, and high-speed wifi that makes streaming your favorite content on the tv or your preferred device a breeze. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has two twin beds (all bedding & mattresses are also brand new!). The bathroom has a large shower. The cabin's set up is perfect for families as well as small groups of friends.
Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties on Lake Superior's South Shore. The property is a perfect mid point between the most popular sights & towns in the area. It's less than 10 minutes from Washburn (which has a full-service grocery, nice range of restaurants, local shops, marina and beaches). It's about 20 minutes from Ashland, 20 minutes from Bayfield, 15 minutes from Cornucopia.

Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here!
