Spacious well equipped villa situated a10 minute walk away from the centre of Ceret, a lively and attractive medieval market town with restaurants , bars , patisseries and cafes in the shade of the tall plane trees that line its streets and squares. Ceret has a rich cultural history as many famous artists have lived and painted here including Picasso, Matisse and Braque. The long sandy beaches of Argeles and Canet are 30 minutes drive away, or you can reach the coves and beaches of the Spanish Costa Brava in less than an hour. Ceret is only 15 minutes drive away from the Spanish border and there is a strong Catalan influence in the architecture and food. The Saturday morning food market is a delight.
The villa is spacious and has an established garden with good size pool, pool deck with sun loungers and a shaded BBQ area with table and chairs. It has a modern kitchen with dishwasher, integrated oven and microwave, induction hob , nespresso coffee machine etc. and dining area. There are 2 bathrooms with bath and showers. Optic fibre WI-FI, tv with UK and international channels. The lounge has doors opening to a sunny terrace overlooking the garden and pool with tables and chairs. Cellar with table tennis table. There are 4 bedrooms, sleeps 6-8. The villa has views of the mountains.

Summary: We enjoyed this spacious house, comfortable sofas, excellent TV (for Paris Olympics). Well equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ. Best of all was the lovely pool. The basement table tennis was a hit with our boys. The photos don’t do it justice!

Summary: The property has plenty of character and was very comfortable. With good size bedrooms and bathrooms and a well equipped modern kitchen. The house is well maintained and near enough to the centre of Ceret to be convenient, about 15 mins walk. A great pool area with welcome shade provided by mature trees in the afternoon. A good location for a family holiday. We would be very happy to recommend this property.

Summary: Very comfortable villa, good sized bathrooms and pretty much everything you needed. Pool was lovely but a lot of shade in the afternoon. Really liked that you could walk into Ceret which is a lively town with a great market. We had great days out - beaches at Couillore, visit to Castelnou (prettiest village in France) and a short trip on the Little yellow train. Was easy to find something for everyone or just staying put and soaking up the sun.
