You will LOVE the space! Our super bright, cheerful LOFT has lots of windows, two skylights and exposed brick walls. Original artwork everywhere! PERFECT for WFH life: 2 separate work surfaces with window views, fast FIOS wifi. Large empty closets. Immaculate, clean and disinfected, free washer/dryer in building.
Our Loft is imaginatively furnished with North African carpets, textiles, and an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary furniture. Amenities include large EMPTY closets, hard wood floors and a contemporary, fully equipped kitchen and dining table.
The bedroom has a queen size bed, a skylight and a view to the east. There is a queen sofa bed in the spacious living area. The large tiled bathroom has an additional storage shelves, a skylight, shower and tub. Other amenities are air conditioning, internet-ready flat screen TV, microwave, coffee-maker, ceiling fan, and all linens. The loft is located two flights up from the street.

Summary: I have to say this was the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to the city, but retreat to a quieter neighborhood to relax. The apartment was in an ideal location, half a block from the 7 line and 3 stops to midtown . It is across the street from the police station and minutes away from lots of yummy restaurants. There is also an urgent care across the street and wallgreens down the road for any emergencies. The apartment was clean and the owners were very amiable and lovely people. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay -Kristi J

Summary: Spotless, airy, stylish property in a brilliant area of Long Island City with a huge choice of excellent independent restaurants - and just a few yards from the subway with Grand Central just one stop away. Highly recommended. If you are worried about security the NYPD 108th Precinct is the other side of the street.

Summary: We, a family of five, enyoed this flat for 8 days while wisiting NYC. The neighberhood was nice with several restaurants, laundry and foodstores. It was a five minutes walk to the riverside with a fantastic Skyline-view. But probalbly the best was the short way to the Subway. From inside the appartment to Grand Central we used less then ten minutes with the 7-train. If we walked for 5 minutes we could take the G-train from another station, wich took us directly til Williamsburg and Brooklyn. There is no doubt that we will check out if this appartment is available if we travel to NYC again. David was a good and friendly host, and he gave us the appartment very clean and nice. We recomend! Summary: We could not have been happier with our choice of the artists loft in Long Island City for our visit to NYC. The apartment was very clean and stylishly decorated, perfect for our family of four. The location was perfect - being away from the madness that is Manhattan but within minutes on the subway or ferry and easy access to the rest of Queens and down to Williamsburg and Dumbo and the rest of Brooklyn - the subway stop is literally a couple of minutes walk from the apartment and the ferry just a few minutes more. The neighbourhood is packed with fantastic restaurants, cafes, a great deli and pizza take away on the doorstep. The walk along the waterfront is a delight and the whole place has such a great atmosphere . Our view of the Chrysler building from the apartment was so cool. The hosts, Margaret and David were so helpful and attentive - a faulty ac unit replaced within an hour! I would highly recommend basing yourself in Long Island City for a visit to NYC - at these apartments, for the best experience of NYC. I hope to return at some point but in the meantime will be recommending this place to any friends and family considering a trip there! I could go on............just book it, you will not be disappointed 😊

Summary: Facilities provided generally excellent. Would suggest some improvement in kitchen utensils and tableware however. E.g., cups, plates and bowls are well-used and have scratches on surfaces. Would be nice to have a fruit/vegetable peeler. Both the host, David, and his assistant, Jess are very helpful and reply very promptly. Overall, enjoyed the stay very much.

Summary: The appartment is spatious, bright with many windows (one with a view of the Chrysler Building), quiet and clean. The decoration is very pleasant with art and paintings from the owners, we felt in a warm and joyful atmosphere. All amenities were as expected (except the supplementary sofa bed which was a bit small, more for a spare bed than for every nights; however the 2 large beds in the rooms were very confortable). David provided all required information for coming and for shops and restaurants around, very efficiently. We also enjoyed the location of the appartment in Long Island City, it is in a small charming building, just in front of a NYPD station (very reassuring ;-)), in a quiet street, just 50 meters from the metro station running directly to Grand Central (5 minutes) and Time square (10 minutes). All around are all convenience stores and several very good/lovely restaurants (US, Thaï, south america...) cheaper than in Manhattan. The neighborhood is pleasant. East river's banks are only a short walk from the appartment, the view on the skyline is magic, and it's easy to take the ferry to go on the other shore to manhattan, or to Brooklyn and South Manhattan. Sailing along the east river is wonderfull. We were very lucky, NY marathon ran just in the boulevard next to the appartment and it was a great experience seeing it. David was very reactive for everything (very appreciable when our flight back was cancelled and we had to stay one more day). I wish we can stay here again the next time we come in NY.

Summary: This house is perfect for a couple or two couples or small family, the train stop is right there is a big plus. The house is clean and the neighborhood has a lot to offer. Great Place!!!

Summary: We stayed in the Artist Loft in October 2016 for nearly 2 months. We arrived in the evening and rushed down to Gantry Park on the East River (a short walk away) to see the city and were blown away by the vista of Manhattan. The loft was just perfect, full of wonderfully interesting art by Margaret and David and it is spacious and light. We were very excited to have a view of the Chrysler Building from our lounge room. The loft has all the conveniences of home and was beautifully clean and ready for new guests when we arrived. The entrance to the subway is just on the corner of the street, 2 mins from the front door. The trains are really frequent, in the peak we didn't wait more than 3 mins and we were in Grand Central Station in 5 mins. Long Island City is a vibrant area and the loft is located just off the main street which is full of great restaurants. There are 2 wonderful supermarkets a short walk away and many other shops where you can get everything you need on a daily basis. Having such a comfortable home away from home made our visit to NYC an incredible experience we will treasure the rest of our lives. Thank you Margaret and David for being such great hosts.
