Summary: There were quite a few issues. The garbage disposal was broken and the sink kept backing up. The owner said he would take care of it after we left. The faucet in the master bathroom literally shot over the sink and soaked the person and the floor. We couldn't use it. I told the owner it was going to damage his property. It was not stocked like most VRBOs we have stayed at. We had to go buy a hairdryer. The Walmart is close by which is nice. It was a good location. We were nervous about the parking, but we usually we were able to find a spot not too far away. The living room furniture was not very comfortable or very much seating area. We usually ended up sitting at the kitchen table. It could be a nice place, but does need work, I don't think it was quite ready.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. The place easily sleeps as many as advertised, however there is not enough seating for everyone. It was difficult for all of us to gather in one area together because there just weren’t places to sit. It would be better if they got rid of the broken foosball table and put it another couch. Otherwise we enjoyed the place very much - easy access to a bus stop to get to the National Mall.

Summary: We just had a marvelous reunion of old friends at this good size, reasonably priced home in NW DC. The owners were easy to communicate with and the layout of the house is great, with simple furnishings. When the weather turned very cold, they reached out to offer space heaters just in case we were cold, which was very kind. There are some things they could do to improve. The living room is sparsely furnished for a house that can accommodate eight or more people. Just one sofa and coffee table, you need to bring in chairs from the kitchen for anyone else to sit. Another comfortable chair or two would make a huge difference. As would a few lamps to replace the harsh overhead lights. The kitchen needs some additional glassware and flatware, though the dishes are lovely. This has been mentioned in other reviews. The beds were super soft, so if you need a firmer mattress, be warned. We also had a toilet stop working, which we didn’t have time to ask them to fix because we weren’t going to be around. So one guest was slightly disadvantaged. I’m sure they’d have fixed it quickly if we’d had time to ask them. Finally, there were a few places where they didn’t clean well, with a few pieces of candy on the floor through the space. These are all easily and inexpensively taken care of. I think the hosts have very good intentions to provide a great place to stay, so hopefully they’ll accept these suggestions with our best intentions and deep thanks for helping us have a great weekend!

Summary: The TV’s were really nice and were very good to play video games on. There was also a foosball table and it was very fun. The bed are super comfortable and huge.

Summary: We stayed here with 11 people and it was kind of a nightmare. They have 5 beds, 1 futon, and 1 air mattress but only 6 comforters so it really only sleeps 12 (13 if there was 1 more comforter). Here are all the things they DON'T have that they say they do: Gym, Fitness Equipment, Game Room (there is a broken foosball table), Home Office (just a desk in the master bedroom), Sofabed (there is a futon only), Blender, Balcony, Iron, Garden, Childrens books, Cabinet locks, Childrens dinnerware, Detergent Pods, & Dryer Sheets. Kitchen has 2 small fry pans (1 doesn't have a handle), 2 VERY small pots, no bakeware, no spatula, pretty much impossible to cook for a large group with what is in the kitchen. We were provided with ONE trashbag for the entire week. When I called the manager to ask if they could at least bring us a spatula I was told, "No one has ever complained about a spatula before but if you really need one, there's a store nearby where you can buy one." We actually had to go to the store and buy a bunch of cookware just to be able to cook while we were there. We also asked for another comforter and were told, "You only have 11 people, you don't need another comforter." Yep, fun times. To top it all off, there was a big rain storm and the roof started leaking in the master closet so the master bedroom floor was soaked the last couple of days we were there. Sadly, it has the potential to be a pretty nice place, but beware of what you are actually getting.
