This rustic, luxury log home is located on the peaceful Spirit River Flowage just 2 miles west of Tomahawk & 2 miles east of the Tomahawk airport. Enjoy peace & serenity on 15 acres with 600 feet of private waterfront paradise! Summertime fun! Complete with 2 Canoes. Winter Wonderland! Snowmobile trails & Cross Country skiing begin on the property. Ice fishing. Downhill skiing nearby at Granite Peak, Camp 10 or North on Hwy 51. Spectacular views from sunrise to sunset are available any time of the year. 5000+ sq. feet of indoor room to sprawl for privacy, small family reunions, small retreats for church, scrapbook, quilting or a retreat with friends. Ask about office chairs and tables available for craft retreats. The cathedral ceiling, cook's kitchen, 2 story field stone fireplace & log interior make an awesome backdrop for the perfect getaway!
This home offers ample space for multi-family groups. The 2nd floor offers one bathroom, 2 bedrooms (one bedroom consists of 2 separate rooms for sleeping), 1 loft area with full size bed. There is also a sofa sleeper on main floor. Enjoy the amenities of a fully furnished kitchen with commercial stove, 2 ovens, great room with 2 story field stone fireplace & cathedral ceiling, dining room, mud room, grand piano & 3/4 season wrap porch. The lower level walks out to the waterfront & a fire pit. This area provides it's own full kitchen, bathroom with shower, pool table, 1 large bedroom (with 3 twin beds & 1 Queen Bed - all have newer mattresses). Pictures do not reveal the spacious, unique beauty of this home.
The Spirit River Flowage is rather quiet & non-commercial with abundant Forest Crop land. It is possible to boat, paddle, kayak, cross country ski, etc. 7+ miles up the river to the west & 1+ miles to the east! Plenty of wildlife viewing, bald eagles, deer & great fishing! Swimming is good on the property with a small sandy beach. The rest of the shoreline has a variety of grassy, tree lined & rocky terrain. With 600 ft of frontage the level shoreline is a combination of sand, soft ground, rocky or some weeds. Amazing ice fishing location. Bald eagles year round! Astounding view of stars! Snowmobile trails & X Country skiing out your door! Plenty of room to park trailers.

Summary: We loved everything about this place! The pictures and description are accurate and it is even better in person. It is perfect for a large group or with multiple family members. There is plenty of space to spread out, both in the house and out. It was great having 3 different places to eat meals inside. The house is fully stocked!! The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept great. Outside, the yard is perfect for games. The kids absolutely loved the large sand pile! It was nice having two different docks, one for the boat and the other for the kids to play by. The lake wasn't busy at all, so it was perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and tubing for the kids. We packed our stuff and took a quick ride over to Osprey Island which was amazing! Wonderful sandy beach and we swam and played for hours. Lastly, Ellen was fantastic! Ellen was very responsive and provided some trip ideas to our group. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We had a great week staying at Ellen’s Rustic cabin. The 2 kitchens were a real plus for our multi-generational family. The upstairs kitchen/living area was great. We spent most of our time on the main floor all season room and outside. The flat yard and short walk to the water made the space very convenient. Our grand kids spent hours in the big pile of sand next to beach. We tied our boat to the dock and while the water was really low, we just had to push in and out without using the motor. The little bay made that easy with not much current or waves to contend with. We had a great time and hope to be back.

Summary: The communication with the property manager was very good a straight forward. Everything was explained before the arrival. Check in was without any issues. Everything was as described and clean. All the amenities were as described and ready for our use. The lake was amazing. We had a very good time.

Summary: The property is beautiful and spacious, much more of a lodge than a cabin! We absolutely loved the time we spent together on the water in Tomahawk at Ellen's. We saw eagles and other waterfowl, and saw the handywork of a resident beaver taking down a couple of trees. Any essentials were already stocked and the entire property was very clean. Summary: This property and house was a phenomenal place to get together with a group for a weekend! The host Ellen was tremendous and caring enough to even share road conditions for our drive home. The house is somehow bigger than it seems in the photos and probably the best place for larger groups to gather! There was plenty of space to accommodate everyone that stayed here. It was very clean upon arrival. The huge flat top grill was amazing to cook on for large groups. There was plenty of space for parking. The house was kept at a very cozy temperature for our winter visit. Everyone in our group only had positive things to say about this place and we definitely plan on coming back in the future.

Summary: We were comfortable throughout our stay at this wonderful Tomahawk cabin. It felt warm and homey and was very well maintained. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch watching the magnificent sunsets, and the beauty of the full moon over the water. The cabin was well stocked in terms of dishes, towels, everything you might want or need. The owner was friendly, informative, and accommodating. Great stay! We highly recommend it!
