Clean house on a great beach San Benito beach (KM 25 from Progresso).
A wonderful getaway. Peaceful quite retreat away from the crowds.
We love this beach house because you are not right next to other houses.
The caretaker can assist with anything you need. They can arrange fishing trips and even arrange a home made MEXICAN meal.
Please note Easter Break, month of July/August and Christmas/New years their will be a holiday surchage added.

Summary: The house is spacious and attractive, but it is the most poorly-supplied property we have ever rented. The large outdoor table shown in the photo is no longer there & it has been replaced by a square bistro-style table that isn’t large enough to be used for dinner by 4 people. One of the uncomfortable folding wooden chairs broke when the rotted wood & rusted screw under the seat separated, almost causing injury to the person who fell from it. Several other photos in the listing do not accurately reflect current conditions: other missing outdoor chairs, different dining room chairs, different living room furniture, range hood fan in the kitchen removed. Only two fibreglass beach loungers were provided. We found the lack of outdoor furniture to be a serious deficiency in a beach property that claims to accommodate up to 8 people! There were only 3 beach towels when we arrived & we bought 4 more, for which the host reimbursed us. The kitchen wasn’t well-supplied: only 3 dish towels, no small pot, no oven mitts, no kettle, not enough coffee mugs, no mop. There is no water circulation in the pool & a cleaning should be done every week, not every two.We also felt somewhat unsafe. We had to ask twice before the coconuts that were dangerously hanging over the pool area were cut down. No binder is provided with the usual local info, including contact info for the police or fire department if needed. The host could be much more proactive in managing this property.

Summary: We enjoyed our time at the house. It was comfortable and just steps from the beach. The porch facing the beach is covered and really big. It catches the breeze most of the day. It is a wonderful place to eat breakfast. The bedrooms are large and the beds were comfortable for us. We like a little firmer mattress so it suited us perfectly. It was great to have a/c in the bedroom but we only had to use it one night as the breeze kept us cool enough. I can imagine in the summer the a/c would be needed. It has grown up quite a bit around the house. The place next door was very busy on the weekend but it still didn’t feel too crowded only louder than during the week. Just know that there are houses apartments and small resorts around the property. There are not money changers everywhere like around Cancun area so stop in Merida at an atm before you come down to the area. Most places we went preferred pesos. Violet was very helpful and responsive to our questions. She recommended places close by that could be visited. We loved seeing all the different birds fishing just outside the house and spent quite a bit of time walking the beach. It would be nice to have a few books in the house to change out with the ones we brought. We went to several places close by looking for books but couldn’t find any. We left all our books so maybe that can be the start of a small book exchange library in the house. Overall, we had a great week!. Thank you for sharing your home!

Summary: Lovely property. Beds comfy and so were the pillows! Beautiful sea views and house location is perfect! Simple essentials in the kitchen so if you are a cook make sure you bring your spices. Only had salt. Great beach!

Summary: We stayed here for the week after Christmas. It is a beautiful, spacious home located right on the beach. We loved the location that is a short drive from Progreso, but away from the hustle and bustle that comes with Progreso. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The house exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our family Christmas. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms accommodated all of us, with our own privacy! The common areas...living room, kitchen, dining area, patio and pool were spacious and furnished so we could all be together comfortably. Though the location is a 4 hr drive from Cancun, and 1 hr from Merida, it was worth it to have a house with a pool, on the beach. We all loved waking up beside the ocean, stepping onto the sand in our pyjamas!! Our host Jorge was very communicative and responsive prior, during and after our stay, giving recommendations for grocery shopping and restaurant locations minutes from the house, as well as suggestions for Cancun, Merida and Progreso. The caretaker was available on call to us. We did require his assistance for something and he even came on Christmas morning. Overall, this experience was more than we expected and we are grateful for the opportunity!! :)

Summary: The house was clean and comfortable. Communication with the host was very good. She was attentive and responsive. The caretaker, Rudolfo, is very nice, yet speaks only Spanish. ( For all the English only people like me. )

Summary: My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks and we really enjoyed our stay. We were able to relax and we visited a bunch of sites. Progresso is full of restaurants and you can get all the groceries you desire and more is available at Merida. Seaweed is present but it's the same everywhere in Mexico this year. Host is very nice, responsive and gives great information.

Summary: House and property are just as described. Perfect place to get away from it all. This is not a resort area, but awesome area to set back and read or meditate. A car might be considered necessary, but the drive into Progreso is quick and easy. Communication with Violet was great. Master bedroom has ac, but never used it. Perfect to let the breeze blow in and listen to the waves at night. Would love to return one day.

Summary: The house and location are the best if you want ocean front with plenty of room. But, the beach area was covered in about 30"d sargassum and the water's edge was thick with it. Maybe time of year? It went down a little after a few days but there was a Lot. You cant walk very far down the beach because there's areas its just too think to get thru. And it stinks a bit, right? That cant be controlled of course, but that info should be shared. The outdoor area has no place to laze about in the sun. There are a couple of those wacky fiberglass (?) molded lounger things that are really uncomfortable so I'm not counting those. Cant lay in/on them and they sit right on the ground. There isn't much to do here, no games or cards or books or people staying nearby. It was so dead. Again, time of year thing? Or always? Don't know... It would be nice if there was some glasses that were glass or plates and bowls that could go in the microwave - everything was plastic. The couple managing are lovely and very helpful. It was nice that they supplied a huge jug of water. Its quiet and remote and calm and beautiful and very spacious. We just couldn't enjoy the beach, go in the water or laze in the sun. (again, time of year??)
