Summary: Grandeur of this estate is unbelievable, majestic house is hidden by trees & very private. When house comes into view down long driveway, it is truely beautiful & you wonder if you’re visiting USA Deep South. The house provides everything you could possibly need and want. Thoughtful touches by the owner, with kitchen that is well equiped, with full size + fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine. 2 x Full size dining tables inside and out, that is in fully enclosed verandah with view of the river. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need, all bedrooms have queen beds, easy access to upstairs verandah, wood fire in dining room/kitchen. Huge lawn area with lots different seating options scattered around the garden & double kayak. We had wonderful time with our friends, layout of the house has multiple entertainment rooms, gorgeous verandah wraps around the house, provides lots of space for everyone. Downstairs and upstairs large TVs with streaming channels if required. This property is one of the most unique properties we have ever stayed in & provides everything you could possibly need for a truely amazing experience. Communication by our host Susan was excellent, very helpful & when we needed clarification on wifi access, we received an immediate response, nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for such a wonderful experience & truely memorable time at the exquisite Pental Island River Retreat. Highly recommended.

Summary: When we walked in the doors it was like entering another time and place! Absolute attention to detail in this 5 star immaculate country getaway with gorgeous furnishings and décor. It was so easy to unwind sipping sparkling wine in the jacuzzi, swinging in the seat watching the birds on the top deck, sinking into the soft beds and sleeping in in the morning, watching the bright stars at night, and gazing at the beautiful river with relaxing BBQ dinners. The outdoor enclosed deck was perfect for our daughter drawing in the morning sun, the boys loved the table tennis. Susan was a wonderfully attentive host giving us the perfect balance of care and space. The kitchen was magnificent and generously equipped with high quality appliances. This was truly everything we had hoped for in a country oasis to rejuvenate as a family... our teenagers loved it as much as we did! We highly recommend for couples or families.

Summary: The pictures do not do this beautiful holiday location justice. The home is grand and spotless, with high end appliances and everything you need thoughtfully supplied. The property is huge, super quiet with lovely surrounding flora and fauna. Thank you Susan for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to return.

Summary: Our family enjoyed such a beautiful and relaxing time at this gorgeous Pental Island property. The home was warm, cosy and super inviting, with an abundance of nature for the kids to explore. Between the fishing, spa, canooing, marshmellow roasting, cabinet of books, wandering and tennis equipment there was never a dull moment. Only a short 10 minute drive into town made it very easy to stock up on essentials and quickly return to the quite, country serenity of Pental Island. The hosts were so kind and accommodating, we felt very looked after. We are very much looking forward to our next stay at this stunning location!
