Summary: This lovely quaint Guest House was ideal for us on New Year's Eve as we were invited to a Masquerade Ball held at The Queens Hotel which was only a 6 minute walk away from the Guest House. We were initially thinking of going by taxi but trying to get a taxi on New Year's Eve is a nightmare and there's no guarantee anyway that they would actually turn up. Also, the taxi was working out about the same price as a one night stay here! Hence, it was a no-brainer. The property has excellent free parking around the back. The bed was nice and comfortable, the shower was powerful and the room was spacious, warm and quiet. The host (Heather) is a really charming lady and it was lovely chatting to her over breakfast. We had fresh fruit and yoghurt, tea and toast (lots of choices for jams, honey, marmalades etc). Heather then brought in some yummy freshly cooked croissants which were a real treat with a nice coffee. This was the perfect stay for us and meant that we could enjoy New Year's Eve without the stress of how we were going to get home. We would have no hesitation in booking this venue again for future stays. Thank you so much Heather! 😊
