5 Bedroom Cottage in Gosport

Grove Lodge is a wonderful detached property sleeping up to 13 guests over 5 bedrooms within superior quality king size zip and link double beds (which can separate to create 2 singles if requested), plus additional single and bunk beds, made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels.
Child cots and highchairs are also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child's bedding).
The property boasts three high spec bathrooms with the master bedroom accommodating a generous sized en-suite with a large corner bath and separate shower cubicle. The main communal 1st floor bathroom has a bath and separate shower and the ground floor double bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Plus there is a ground floor cloakroom toilet.
The kitchen is open plan off the dining room and is fully equipped for self catering, plus a separate utility room with washing machine and dishwasher.
The living room is off the main centre hallway accommodating a large corner sofa, plus a separate smaller sofa and a smart flat screen TV.
The dining room is open plan with the kitchen and is home to a large 12 seater dining table. When not used for dining this table converts to a table tennis or pool table to keep young and old amused for hours.
The conservatory is also off the kitchen with French doors leading out into the garden and is perfect to escape for a quiet cuppa and a read.
The front garden is mainly paved to allow 4-5 medium sized cars to be parked safely off road and the rear garden is beautifully laid out with a patio and lawed area with mature shrubs, a summer house, a child's Wendy House and covered water feature. The garden also has the possibility of hiring in a Hot Tub, if desired (Conditions apply – please contact us for further details).
All bedding and towelling is provided, with a mid term maid cleaning service available on request. Additional linen is available at £25 per set to include 1 medium bath towel.
Grove Lodge is pet friendly and we warmly welcome up to 3 medium sized well behaved four legged friends at an additional cost of £25 each per dog, per week/part week. (However, to be fair to our neighbours no continuous barkers please).
In addition to the rental cost we ask our guests for a security deposit, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage.
Our advertised prices are calculated on the number of people requested and may go up or down if amended.
Some of our properties have age restrictions, such as where we feel it would not be suitable for younger all adult groups, such as within quiet residential areas where noise may be an issue. All bookings are subject to Owners' Discretion. Our star system is based on current English standards

Summary: 8 adults aged from 25 to 63! Chance for annual family get together. Lovely comfy house, plenty of room for us all to be together or sit quietly. Lovely garden with lots of squirrels to watch scurrying around & a nice park opposite too! Lovely stroll to the ferry and short crossing over to Gunwharf for a bit of retail therapy, lunch and boat watching! Nice dining table for evening of board games! Really comfy beds and good showers & baths! Easy to get a take away delivered and clear instructions from owner where nearest services are should they be needed. Everyone agreed it was a great weekend in an ideal spot!

Summary: Photos on Vrbo make the rooms look bigger than they are, Freezer was frozen and could not be used, the King size beds are singles pushed together, Garden furniture needs updating, garden chairs had green algae on them,Rubbish bins were 3 quarters full when we arrived. The fridge is not big enough for the amount of people staying in the property, The bbq needs updating had to swap the control knobs round to turn it on, we have stayed in better properties for me I think the property is overpriced. We made the most of our family weekend but unfortunately would not return

Summary: This was ideal for us, a group of recycled teenagers. Well placed for the ferry and the local buses. The house was ideal with a downstairs en suite for those who have a difficulty with stairs.

Summary: Even though a lovely size house we were 7 adults, 4 children & 3 dogs, the house could be cleaner i.e carpets needed a good clean downstairs and upstairs. Also would have been nice to have been left a bucket and fresh mop as what was given didn't do the job and after having baths/showers our feet were bogging. I know some might say cleaning when your on holiday but we treated this like our own home so cleaned up after ourselves. More so as we have 2 one yr olds who love to pick things up from the floor. The 5yr old and 2yr old couldn't use the trampoline as full of bird poo (as positioned under a huge tree). Did clean it but next day exactly the same so again didn't want to risk the children being ill. Maybe owner is not aware of all above as through letting agency.

Summary: What a gorgeous house and garden, had everything we needed. Easy communication with house owner, lovely location. Walking distance of town and ferry to Portsmouth. Shops local and right opposite the park. Parking for 4 cars at least. All in all what a wonderful stay
