Summary: I needed to quickly find a place to stay in the Milford DE area due to a wake/funeral. Most places were either booked or close to. The Springhill Suites was my choice. To be perfectly honest, it was a good choice. The room was clean, roomy, enough furniture, and felt cozy. It was perfect to come back to after two emotionally filled days. I wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast. Only one milk option, not many choices in general, and considering there was a soccer group, there were long lines for the waffle maker. But this still would not have made me change my mind. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly even under these conditions. What prevents me from giving the hotel a 5* was the above mentioned soccer team and their parents. When I found out about the group, I knew what to expect; parents that will want to unwind and let their kids run wild throughout the night. It happens. The expectations of a loud hallway, kids running, and loud tv’s blasting at late hours. What I didn’t expect was to have my door prank knocked between 10 and 11pm. Maybe if I didn’t just come back from a funeral I’d have more patience or understanding, but I really don’t. I worked in hospitality and understand you cannot control your patrons. I did report this the next day and telling the staff that the parents need to be made aware of this and for them to be better parents and show their kids to have respect for other people. I’m sure under different circumstances, this is a 5* place.

Summary: The staff was EXCELLENT. The breakfast staff had to contend with power outages yet went out of their way to make alternative breakfast options. The coffee was terrific and much appreciated since we had to get out early. The hotel is used by many sports teams for the nearby fields.

Summary: It was nice. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Breakfast was great! Staff was very friendly. Pool was way too small and to go anywhere you had to get on the thruway.

Summary: I can’t say entirely ugh wonderful things about the Springhill Suites in Frederica, Delaware. We were only there for one night, but it was fantastic. We were welcomed by Reuben at the front desk, who was very friendly and helpful. The facility is relatively new. The Lobby space was welcoming, with a 24-hour self serve area selling snacks. It’s also the area where the complimentary breakfast is served, which was ver good. The indoor pool (small) and exercise room (small, but well equipped) are also located on the first floor. Our room was generously sized with a king-sized bed (as requested), plus a sofa that pulls out into a bed, a nice-sized desk area, a refrigerator and microwave, and a large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was very clean. The only minor complaint is that the hand towels were somewhat thin. The bath tiles were very nice. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were included in full-sized dispenser bottles in the shower. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Frederica, Delaware area, I highly recommend Springhill Suites. You’ll be very pleased.
