Positive: Great location! Magnificent views! Plenty of space for six people (5 adults, 1 toddler). Everything was well labeled and easy to find along with additional information for places to go and activities around the property. Nice amenities, including the hot tub, fire pit and laundry. We loved being able to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves outside. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, as well as the private beach access. We went just before peak season so it was not a populated area. It was fun watching boats and ships pass by and being on the lookout for marine life. Lots of birds to spot too! Shelling was just ok but we found a few nice pieces to take home and left a few at the beach house. It may be a nice touch for the owners to have a grabber tool for guests and extra garbage bags to pick up trash on the beach. It was an extra reason to get out there each morning for a walk! I do not say this because there was a ton of trash everywhere, there was not. On the surface the beach did NOT look littered with trash, however, we found lots of bits of plastic as we searched for shells and sea glass. We tried to pick up trash as we went.
Negative: Minimal issues - The outside water source for rinsing feet was not working during our stay. I notified the management company and they responded timely. Also, having a toddler around was challenging at moments since there are many breakables. We were able to put most things out of reach but there were many fun and tempting items to explore!

Positive: The views were amazing and access to the beach was so lovely. The house is very dog and kid friendly, making it comfortable for our whole family.
Negative: There was quite a bit of dog hair (not from our dog) in the carpets and rugs. This is understandable given how dog friendly it is and a small price to pay for such a lovely home and location.

Positive: Location was perfect - view, walkable, quiet. Loved watching the ships in the Strait. Loved watching the birds and sea lions. Kitchen was perfectly stocked. Hot tub was clean and hot. Super dog-friendly.
Negative: Didn't like walking in a wet area of carpet in the master bedroom - likely a treated area for a pet stain from previous renters. There was also a dirty frying pan and hair/product stains in bathroom drawer - everything else was spotless!!
Summary: Perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of Whidbey Island!

Positive: Everything is so organized in the rental home. Lots of info about the house and the local area. The view from the upstairs bedroom was unbelievably gorgeous.
Negative: No throw blankets for the family room for cooler fall winter evenings.
