Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: A wonderful location in the wonderful countryside. Robin is an excellent host only superseded by his adorable assistent Rosy, the gorgeous and sweetest cat! During our 3-day stay we enjoyed evening dinner twice which was excellently prepared by Robin. For an affordable £35 p.p we enjoyed very comfortable country food. Roast chicken with oven-baked potatoes and a splendid pavlova as dessert.
Negative: Not a negative, but something to keep in mind: As you're staying within the same cottage as the host this is not comparable to a fully secluded stay. We loved the conversations with our host but if you want more privacy, this place might be less ideal for you.
Summary: Fantastic stay in the beautiful countryside of Surrey.

Positive: This quiet, secluded, little cottage with two very friendly hosts (Robin and his French-speaking partner Marie), suited us perfectly to stay for a night before continuing our journey.
Negative: If we only knew about the Hannah Peschar Garden, which is a 5 min walking distance! Opening times did not work out for us (one needs to plan for it).
Summary: Uncomplicated, simple, and friendly place to stay.

Positive: Robin and Marie were lovely hosts and welcomed us into their home which is situated in a lovely area and was very convenient for us to meet up with family staying locally. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was good and everything was very clean.
Negative: Tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom would have been useful. We were shown where everything was in the kitchen, and Marie and Robin always welcomed us, Marie happily jumping up to make tea/coffee as required, but we felt guilty disturbing them if they were cooking or eating their evening meal.
Summary: A great stay in a lovely locatation.

Positive: Very calm; impression of being in the countryside yet not far from a town; tasty cooked breakfast; warm welcome
Negative: No heating (it's on as of October 1st) - the air in the room was very cold but the duvet was lovely and warm; Robin welcomed us with a cup of tea but there was no courtesy tray in the room

Positive: The location is tranquil and relatively isolated with a first-rate rural view. The garden is very well established and laid out - as you would expect from a landscape gardener as host. It contains a wide variety of flowers, plants and trees with grass going off into the distance. Not forgetting Rosie the friendly cat, as well as the domestic chicken, geese etc., we also spotted a variety of birds, a rabbit, a squirrel, a deer and a fox nearby during our stay. The property is traditionally built and we booked the en-suite on the ground floor. We slept well in the quiet, cosy bedroom. The adjoining ample-sized bathroom had a copious supply of hot water, excellent towels and a powerful shower over the bath. Although we didn't use it, we also had use of a large shared lounge with a TV. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel as we understood that this was mainly an airbnb but Robin is an extremely good host and a very good cook. He's knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We had a choice of food for breakfast but having tried it once al fresco, we stuck with his excellent traditional English fried breakfast with fresh eggs and tasty sausages for the whole week. Robin also offered flavourful evening meals. However, we were out every day and were only able to take advantage of this once - when we particularly enjoyed the local wine and succulent strawberries.
Negative: There are plenty of walks as well as places to visit nearby. However, if you’re a driver be prepared for some narrow, single-pass local roads - so arrival and trips out benefit from a bit of route planning. I'm sure that the large double bed would be considered comfortable by many, and it suited my wife very well, but it was a bit too soft for me with my large frame. Accommodation for clothing was limited to a couple of drawers and hooks and hangers on the back of the room door. This might be considered insufficient for some staying for more than a few days but it was no problem for us. The w-fi was a bit patchy in our room but was being upgraded whilst we were there. The 4G was similar but both did what we wanted from them.
Summary: A pleasant and convenient stay near our daughter and family; we would certainly stay there again.

Positive: Robin is an excellent host who shares his home with his home. This little gem is hidden in the woods but easy to find and Robin is very helpful ( left a little balloon by the end of the road) to find the location. Great place to walk and very quiet! Robin is an excellent chef who uses what he produced from his little farm: veg, eggs, chicken. We had a wonderful stay and great company!
Summary: Amazing stay in a little hideout!
