The villa is built in the middle of a covered with grass private property of 2400 sq.m. The garden is surrounded by high trees, ensuring the privacy of the tenants. At the back yard there is the 40 sq.m pool with sunbeds and 2 parasols around it for relaxation in the shade. At the same side of the garden there are a barbecue and stone built benches where you can enjoy tasty meals. Moreover, there is a wooden outdoor dining set in a covered area outside the kitchen and outdoor furniture sets on the balcony of the first floor and at the back and front yards.
Stella Villa is a two floor building. The entrance leads to the spacious sitting/dining area with the fireplace. The separate kitchen is fully equipped and has a round dining table for 6 persons. On the same floor there are a cosy twin bedroom and a large bathroom. On the first floor there are two more bedrooms, one twin and one double and a bathroom. Both bedrooms have balconies overlooking the pool.

The area is peaceful, however in walking distance from the beach of Maleme with the taverns, the bars and the souvenir shops. West Crete is the side of the island where some of the most renowned beaches of Greece are found; Falassarna, Elafonisi, Paleochora. As you drive along the mountain roads you will meet many small traditional taverns with home-made Cretan products.

Summary: Lovely villa set in well maintained gardens with a large pool. The owners were very kind and left a welcome gift that was very much appreciated after a long day's travel. The property is minutes from the beach and several decent restaurants. Definitely recommend.

Summary: A large 3 bed, 2 bath property in extensive grounds, ten minutes walk to Maleme centre - where the Black Lantern has a mix of English and Greek cuisine, and ten mins walk to the sea front / pebble beach with 3 good restaurants (Mythos, Maleme and Waves) Pictures are reliably accurate, but don't really convey the sense of interior space - plenty of room for a family, and every room has immediate access to an outdoor terrace. Wifi is excellent in the house, but doesn't reach very far outside. Very well placed for exploring the North and West of the island with access to the E65 National Road only about 5km / 10 mins drive away - and use of a car probably is necessary. There is a large number of attraction leaflets in the hall table - useful for planning days out etc. The pool is superb - not heated, but that's not an issue in the Cretan sunshine - lovely once you get in it after a hot day exploring Chania, monasteries or historic ruins. However - be sure to pack insect repellant. The mosquitos were not a big problem, but the midges / gnats / no-see-ums were viciously hungry! All in - recommended for all. (However disabled access would be difficult given the steps inside and the split level layout).

Summary: An older style property fully equipped to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Fantastic pool, always sparkling clean and a great relief in the hot sun. Villa location is just a 10-15 walk down to local beach and lovely beach taverns and bars. Easy access to Chania, mountains and beyond. Owner was lovely and very helpful.

Summary: The villa was great. It is quite big just like the garden. We were 6 people, two of us were child’s and they loved the space they had for playing around. The owner are very nice and gave us a tour through the house on our arrival. Some welcome gifts consisting of food and drinks were in the kitchen, a really nice gesture and they also had some pool toys for the kids, that was fantastic. The pool is wonderful and the green garden around just makes you want to stay there. But the region of chania is also worth seeing and with a car you have the opportunity to reach the whole west of the island from this beautiful Villa. If you don‘t have a car it doesn’t matter cause you can reach the importants things on foot (supermarket, taverns, the beach and a bus station and if you should decide a car would be a benefit also some car rentals are not far). So we loved our time here and hope you will also. We can definitely recommend it and his gentle owners.

Summary: Fantastic We have never been to Crete before let alone rented our our villa. All our questions were timely answered and the villa was perfect. The process of reserving was seamless and everything was great. The house is as the photographs shows. Just take some beach towels (pool and bath towels are provided) the owners were lovely and showed us around - welcome pack of food and drink was great too. I would advise to take some DVDs for evenings if you have children in bed early as the TV choices are all Greek. The pool is fantastic and you can properly swim in it. It is a minute walk to bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. 40 minutes to the airport. The villa is not overlooked so you can completely escape. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Summary: Great villa- very clean and loads of space. Very large pool with lots of shade and some very friendly cats and kittens from next door- although I am sure that they would make themselves scarce if you don't like cats. It's also a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants. The only small negatives are no aircon or fan in the living room, so this is hot at night, although the bedrooms have great aircon. Also, there is no dust pan for the barbeque so we made our own! Mattresses are quite hard, too, but we all still slept well. The DVD also only played about 1/3 of our DVDs. Overall, a fabulous place to stay and we can highly recommend the villa.
