After a day at the beach, sightseeing on the Cliff Walk or Bellevue Mansions (1 to 2 miles away) visit downtown Newport, approx. 2 miles for wonderful restaurants and shops. Tall ship, Jazz Festival, Folk Festival and more!
This modern open home with Cathedral Ceilings offers plenty of space for entertaining. Newly furnished summer of 2016, all bathrooms have been newly renovated. Wood floors throughout, open kitchen, dining area and living room. The master bedroom has a Queen bed and full bath. 2nd bedroom has a Queen bed, 3rd bedroom has a full bed and 2 twin beds. 4th bedroom has 2 full bed and 2 twins (one is a trundle bed). Sit back and relax. Great Family location.

Summary: The house location and grounds are fantastic, with great beach and downtown Newport access. The huge lawn and plantings are kept meticulously well and the house is set between two gigantic mansions right next to the beach. You can hear the waves crash. Inside, the house is adequate but unremarkable, and we had a few issues with moisture and musty smell in the downstairs level, inadequate lighting, and a very high step coming up to the entry door (hands over knees for a couple people in our party). Cooking supplies are at a minimal level and the furniture is sparse and not very comfortable. The space is open and has a lot of unrealized potential to feel more homey and be better furnished and supplied. Next time, I would bring more of the creature comforts of home with me. The shortcomings of the house were made up for by the location and I would consider going back for that alone. Five stars for location and three stars for the house itself.

Summary: Nice space , facilities, location. Easy walk to beach. One safety issue should be addressed: the front steps include one (the lowest) that is about 2-3 inches higher than the others and was uncomfortable and felt risky. I think it should be remedied as soon as possible.

Summary: This was our second year staying at this great house. We were 2 families and none of us had any complaints. Walking distance to Second and Third beach. Easy walk to 1st beach and Cliff walk. House is equipped with everything you need. We would love to go back! Janet D

Summary: Our family (47, 43, 10, 6, 2) and friends (44, 42, 11, 6) had a wonderful stay at the house. It has plenty of room, is bright and open… a real beach house experience. Very convenient access to the beach, and has heaps of beach toys, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. The lawn games were a particular favourite of our party, and we spent loads of time with the kids playing and rolling down the hills. The kitchen is well equipped with all the staples you’d need, making it feel very much like home. And finally, access to shops and restaurants in Middletown is very easy, and Newport just a short 3-5 mins drive. We did many trips in, including to see the fireworks in Newport harbour (which we would highly recommend). Many thanks to Cheryl and Kim for being such great hosts and for the wonderful stay. We would definitely stay again.

Summary: The living room furniture could use an upgrade and is not comfortable for extended use. It was raining a lot during our visit and we therefore spent more time inside then we would have liked. The windows in most rooms don't open because of window AC units. Kitchen isn't fully stocked for cooking. They were very responsive to questions and needs during our stay.

Summary: Beautiful area, great neighborhood close to beach which was perfect for seeing the sunrise. Opened the door to a beautiful open living space, large kitchen and large dining table which sat 10-12 people. Nice master bedroom with bathroom and large closet. The house was perfect for our needs. Unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy the house as much as I would have hoped with all the wedding preparations and activities but all in all it was a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this home and the host was a pleasure to work with. Thank you for your hospitality.
