Recently renovated, this beautiful lake home offers sunrise views that will take your breath away. Inside, wood flooring and lake views span the length of the great room. Plush furniture adorned in cool shades of blues offer the perfect spot to curl up and relax with a glass of Finger Lakes wine, or a cup of coffee and a book.

Summary: The property was excellent for kayaking and playing by the water. The beach area was great for the kids. Multiple decks were also very nice. Located near some cool breweries and cider mills. The property was pretty clean, but there were noticeable cobwebs. Bring your own pillow if you stay here. Mattresses could be updated, as some were very stained. The outdoor table was broken (the top was just kind of sitting on top of it). We called the property manager and they said they’d come look either now or when we leave. We opted for when we leave, so I’m unsure if this was fixed. Overall, it was a great fall weekend. The sunrise on this property over the lake is pretty amazing. I’d stay here again, I’d just continue to bring my own blankets and pillows.

Summary: Downstairs was very nice with plenty of space. The four upstairs bedrooms are terrible. Very musty odor. Mattresses are horrible and need to be replaced. Both water tanks on coffee pots had mold in them. Many cobwebs in the house the we swept down.

Summary: This was a 70th birthday celebration weekend getaway. The house is situated on the lake which has wonderful views and was very convenient to take out the kayaks as we wanted and to sit on the dock and fish. The house is a nice size and accommodated my extended family of 10 with ages ranging from 70 down to 2! The house was ok for what we were looking for but the 2nd floor needs updating. The floors throughout the home are uneven and the mattresses were all VERY hard. Good if you like that, not so good if you like soft mattresses. The back of the house has alot of windows and the dining table was great for those morning sunrises! The deck is a nice size where you can hang out and look at the lake, have coffee with the sunrise, play some games at the table and perfect for happy hour. There is a separate deck and another sitting area that is nice as well. We did not utilize the fire pit but wood is provided if needed. The kitchen comes provided with mostly everything you need, but it could use bigger baking dishes and a large frying pan. Other than that we were able to cook without issue. The realtor or cleaning company provides sheets, towels, a small sponge, a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, small travel size dish soap, 2 sink towels which is a nice touch. I would suggest bringing your own towels as they provide you with one face cloth and one bath towel and two hand towels for each bathroom. I would also suggest bringing some kind of cleaning spray with you and plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins and a box of tissues. The house is a little out dated and dusty. We went through an entire box of tissues with our allergies in 3 days. Also be sure to bring hand soap for the bathrooms as that is not provided. All in all we had a good time and it served our purpose for wanting lake front property.

Summary: We had a great long weekend at Steps to the Beach. The house was clean, location was beautiful, we used the kayaks and really enjoyed the fire pit! The kitchen was well equipped. A bigger area at the end of the dock for a chair or two would have been nice but that is just a minor complaint! We would stay again.

Summary: There is alot to love about this house. Great deck for small kids as they cant get to the water. Unfortunately we had some hiccups. The master bdroom was great. The other bedrooms were not so great. Very bad mattresses. Ok for our 3 yo but brutal on the parents . Only way wed stay there again was if they owners got new beds upstairs. They really are bad. The grill probably has never been cleaned. We had a grease fire that could have been disastrous if we had not had a round of salt. Then after a very nice guy cleaned it we had to take it apart as the gas jets were clogged. Trying not to be picky as we did love the house and set up - the 2nd bathroom floor was missed in the cleaning and there was quite a few cherrios under the table and couches. The really big thing was the beds - I dont think it would take much of an investment to replace the ones upstairs. Hope they do as we would love to rent again.
