Summary: Buffet dinner at restaurant was over priced for the selection and most of the meat selections were only just warm and not hot like meat should be when served as a buffet

Summary: The room was nice, the view was amazing. The reason for my low star review was that I was locked out of the internet because I exceeded my log ins. I was not told there was a specific number of log ins available and I didn't log in that many times. I was using 3 different devices but never had more than 1 logged in at any one time. The fact there was a limit was bad, the fact I was not told about a limit at check it was horrible. I woke up at 6am to get some work done prior to our day of fun and I could not do anything. VERY BAD SYSTEM

Summary: Convenient location - short stroll to the cruise terminal, cafes & restaurants and within walking distance of Hogarth Falls. Our room was clean, well-appointed and cosy, but needed better lighting. Having spent two days walking at Cradle Mountain it was nice to rest our weary legs in the spa bath. The room had a great view of the boats on the harbour and buildlings along the waterfront. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The onsite laundry was very useful, but be prepared for a small queue.

Summary: Clean room. Arrived in a downpour & heating was on thanks. Close to waterfront. Happy with everything except the bed, way too soft, not normally what you’d expect in a hotel. Good bar & also a restaurant.

Summary: Wonderful view. Staff friendly. Room only serviced every 2nd day, bathroom tap dripping, limited Wifi. The room comfortable though needs refreshing to be advertised as 4 star, especially carpet. Location excellent

Summary: Strahan Village is beautiful, the entire place is owned by the NRMA including one of the cruises. However, the accomodation is terrible and the NRMA should be embarrassed that they are willing to offer this poor level of accomodation to guests (sadly the service was not much better). An organisation the size of the NRMA should have completely refurbished this accomodation including the dining facility (View 42). The accomodation smells (not in a good way), it is extremely tired, all that has been done to the place is to paint everything white to freshen it up. This is a major disappointment, Strahan, in particular Strahan Village is a beautiful location and the exterior of the buildings and layout is brilliant. But if you stay on the hill in the motel style accomodation that has not been updated since it was built, it is a very poor experience. The View 42 restaurant offers a buffet for $60 per person, the quality of the food was poor and made me feel like I was back in the early 2000, low value for money and felt like we were being taken advantage of. If this property was run by an independent I can understand the cost to invest and upgrade could be prohibitive, but the NRMA is a huge organisation and can do much better and should do much better. As an NRMA member (who also stayed in many other NRMA properties on our family holiday to Tasmania), I felt let down by the NRMA. This was the worst part of our trip and we were happy to be checking out of the accomodation.
