This property is a nature lover's paradise overlooking the Pacific Ocean and jungle of the Punta Leona Nature Reserve in the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. While you are here you can relax with the soothing sounds of the ocean while watching birds and monkeys from your deck. A secluded beach and tide pools can be reached by a 10 min walk from the property. A 20-min walk (3 min drive) will take you to Playa Blanca, one of Costa Rica's most beautiful white sand beaches where many activities such as snorkeling, surfing, and sea kayaking can be enjoyed.
The Punta Leona Nature Reserve is home to one of the last remaining primary and secondary forests that are found in the transitional life zone between the rain forests of the Southwest and the dry forests of the Northwest. Punta Leona is an enchanting place to visit for nature lovers, families, and bird watchers, who will be exposed to the biological diversity of Costa Rica. It is home to the rare and endangered Scarlet Macaw as well as over 330 migratory and native bird species. In addition, for those who love to walk, this area offers a spectacular shoreline with several beautiful secluded beaches and reefs to explore. One of these, Playa Blanca, a quiet, pristine, white sand beach, has been denominated a national Marine Wetland area to protect migratory bird species in the lowlands of the river estuary and beach of Playa Blanca.
The Punta Leona Private Club located within the reserve offers hikes in primary forest, birdwatching, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, a convenient store and other amenities. Please inquire about access to the private club AHEAD OF TIME. A fee may apply and availability is not warranted. The Punta Leona Reserve has one restaurant-pizza place, an ice cream parlor and a small convenience store open to all visitors.

Summary: Clean, comfortable, amazing views from the patio! You are right in the jungle, can spot scarlet macaws and toucans! A close walk to a small quiet pebble beach. Playa Blanca is also close by with sand and great snorkeling. Paradise, photos look like screensavers! Hannia was a lovely communicative host, provided very good instructions and arranged our access to Punta Leona perfectly.

Summary: Hannia’s place was a beautiful oasis to watch the Scarlett macaw’s and toucans as well as a variety of other birds. The beaches were wonderful and the property had everything we needed. If you are looking for a relaxing jungle/ocean view. This is it.

Summary: The property is located at the edge of the jungle with a magnificent view of the Pacific and the sunset. It was just remote enough to be quiet and away from the crowds. Hannia was very helpful with everything. It couldn't have been better. Thanks so much for sharing your property with us.

Summary: The studio apartment was very nice and clean. The deck was literally surrounded by jungle. However, the first day it was quite noisy due to the pool pump kicking on and off. This was corrected by day two. The driveway is extremely steep and difficult to get down with luggage. We enjoyed hearing the monkeys at nighttime.
