Agriturismo San Tommaso is located on a hill with a splendid view over the valley 2km from the small town of Pomarance near Volterra. The property has a sunny position from morning to evening and is located 30 km from the sea and in a central position with respect to the most important art cities such as Pisa, Siena, Florence and Lucca. In about 30 minutes you can reach Volterra, Massa Marittima, San Gimignano, the cellars of the most important wines of Tuscany and many other small medieval villages. Ideal for lovers of trekking, mountain biking and horse riding in the nearby convensioned riding school. At 3km the sources of the Cecina river with wonderful pools of water for swimming. On the property there are 2 houses with 3 apartments each. All apartments are very independent with their own private outdoor area with barbecue and parking space. The surrounding garden is very large and even children can run and play in the play area. There are large terraces equipped with a wonderful view over the valley and a fenced m16x m8 swimming pool with Jacuzzi and waterfall, surrounded by a large green lawn where each apartment has its own private shaded area with deck chairs and sun loungers. Breakfasts, tastings and dinners with local products are available on request.

Summary: We have enjoyed our stay in Il Mandorlo very much. The accomodation is furnished with taste. We felt at home Immediately. Our three sons slept at the loft; they loved it. The bedrooms and badrooms are very spacious and clean. The beds are of outstanding quality! At night we had to shut the window because of the croaking frogs. The room is soundproof! The livingroom would be a bit small for 7 persons; for the 5 of us it was fine. The weather was great so we could have all of our meals at te nice terrace, where it never got to hot due to the cool brise and the roof above it. The view from the terras is outstanding! The swimmingpool is only a few steps below. Sitting at the pool we felt like part of a beautiful painting. The maintainance of the property is superb. We highly recommend agriturismo San Tomasso!

Summary: It was very cosy indeed. Countryside, view on olive fields, toscanian hills - and at the same time - very close to the nearest city, Pomerance, which is very old. Also it is only 1-2 hours by car to San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena. Our apartment was spacious, very well equipped, with our own terrace and grill. Big plus - a swimming pool and nice territory around. Owners are very helpful, also it is possible to buy fresh olive oil from their own olives, very tasty.

Summary: Very nice appartment, the view from the appartment is Super. We used it to do many trips in region. Near to the coast, but also Siena is not far away. We will love it to come back here. We stayed as couple.

Summary: Just back from a great stay with Sergio at his farm. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the small kitchen well equipped with a large fridge for food and drink and a BBQ just outside. The pool and views were spectacular and the pictures almost don't do them justice. Lovely terrace for drinks and were we ate at night. Had a chance to look in some of the other lets which all looked to be very well presented inside. Nice cats and a very friendly dog at the farm. Would recommend hiring a car for the short drive into Pomerance or to Voltera. Good amount to do and see in the area and we were able to head to the island of Elba for an over night trip, About 1hr 20 min to the ferry port and 30 min crossing with Corsica ferries. Sergio and his wife put on an optional meal for 10 euros per person one evening with amazing home made pizzas, dessert and wine form the farm. Sergio was a great host, quick to respond to emails and queries. I felt the stay offered great value for money for those looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday and I would happily return and recommend to friends and family. Andrew

Summary: We stayed a week at Il Pino at San Tommaso at Sergio's. It is really the perfect place! Sergio has 7 appartments in a really serene area with the most beautiful view (we checked other agriturisme places but none had the same view and relax feeling). So the area is relaxed, especially the lower apartments since in Il Pino you can hear the cars on the small road toward Pomarance. Not very loud but a little bit. In the lower apartments and down at the pool there is complete quietness. Il Pino has a good bed, a small bathroom but with everything you need. We could use the big kitchen and the small one in Il Pino we used for making tea, salads etc. There is 1 closet to hang your clothes properly and a table with 2 chairs. The wifi is perfect, as well in the room as down at the pool (there are 2 routers). So we worked quite a lot unfortunately ;-). The terrace is sooo nice, beautiful to have a drink while the sun goes down. And Sergio is fantastic! The most relaxed guy and who knows how to have a nice evening with soup, pizzas and all the guests on wednesdaynight. And we even danced the salsa...
