The accommodation
New apartment in the ground floor and basement with modern furnishings and great views in a very quiet Orstrandlage. A large garden with garden furniture and with a fantastic view is for the sole use available.
The apartment has an open cooking, living and dining area. The modern fitted kitchen has all the necessary kitchen utensils and equipment, in addition also has a coffee machine and high-end devices, such as an induction hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, a large refrigerator and a freezer.
The apartment has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms:
On the ground floor there is a bedroom with double bed (1,80 x 2,00) and one with two single beds. Furthermore, a bathroom with a large barrier-free shower, toilet, bidet and double sinks and a separate guest toilet.
In the basement there is another bedroom with double bed (1,80x2,00) and a bedroom with a 1.40 m wide bed (but this bedroom has only one window in front of a cellar shaft). The basement also a second bathroom takes a shower, bath, toilet and sink.
The entire apartment has underfloor heating and the downstairs rooms (with the exception of the guest WCs) electric shutters
Plenty of towels, sheets and towels are available to our guests. The fee for this is included in the cost of cleaning.
We ask our guests not to smoke in the apartment. For this purpose the terrace.
From the apartment can be reached in a few minutes drive to the railway connection to Munich

Summary: LOVED this house with a beautiful view of the Alps in a quiet location in a tiny Bavarian town! Great home base from which to sightsee. There's even a German-speaking bakery a few doors down with delicious cakes and pastries! There was plenty of room for my family of 9 to sleep comfortably, with a full bathroom on each floor, plus a half bath on the main level. Access to laundry was also appreciated. And the owner made sure we knew how to work everything properly with a tour upon arrival. I'd have stayed longer if we could! Highly recommend.

Summary: We rented this apartment for 56 days and we were not disappointed. Andreas and Dorothee were excellent hosts and most helpful as the world battled the Corona virus pandemic. The accommodation is exactly as described and easy to locate. Dorothee met us there when we arrived and gave a comprehensive instructional walk round of the property. Rooms are large and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are large, with walk-in showers and a plentiful supply of towels. Everywhere was very clean. Many basic food items were supplied for our arrival. The apartment is spacious and has wonderful views of the Bavarian Alps some 30 miles south. There are parking spaces for 4 cars. Numerous supermarkets and other stores are within a short drive. Munich city center is only 45 minutes away, while the beautiful towns of Garmisch, Oberammergau and Mittenwald are easily reached. Unfortunately for all concerned, places slowly closed due to the virus and Bavaria eventually locked down. During this period of change and uncertainty, Dorothee and Andreas could not have been more helpful and understanding. Only 25 days into our stay, we abandoned our stay in Eglfing and, most reluctantly, boarded a flight home. Overall, should we ever find ourselves returning to Bavaria, we would not hesitate to book this accommodation again.

Summary: This is a very high tech beautiful home out in the country with fantastic views of the Alps. The home is extremely clean, and quiet in a small village setting. Café is just down the street. The hosts, Andreas and Dorothee, were very helpful in suggesting places to see and restaurants to visit. Summary: Andreas and Dorothee provide the best possible Bavarian VRBO experience. After a full week in their multi-floor, everything-you-need flat, with such a warm welcome, I believe in the superiority of this choice so strongly that if you argued with me I might challenge you to a duel. We arrived to find a spotless flat with new water, milk, and juice in the fridge and cookies on the table. The pictures are accurate. In fact, they do not do the place justice. Also, there is a carport, and if you've never lived in Germany (we lived there 2 years with the military) you might not understand what a big deal that is, especially in winter. Trust me, it has a huge impact on your vacation when you don't have to defrost a car every morning. Dorothee met us at the flat and her English was excellent. She and Andreas have a very customer-oriented attitude and are very responsive. They live not far away, so that makes things convenient. There is a little bakery a couple of doors down. The food is good, the proprietor is friendly, and he is great with kids. Don't miss it. There is a grocery a few minutes away by car, and the flat has all you need for cooking meals at home. That saves you a ton of cash when feeding a whole family. There is also a dishwasher for cleaning up. When my wife and I lived over there, we did not have one, so that was a big deal to us. There is an additional flat above this one in the same structure, but you would not know that it is there. With so much space, we felt like we had our own house for the week. The flat is located near B-2 and B-472 in an ideal location for exploring Bavaria, with easy or reasonable drive times to Neuschwanstein, Ehrenberg, Munich, Garmisch / Zugspitze, Chiemsee, Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Konigsee, Linderhof, and more. (For me, a reasonable drive is under 2 1/2 hours. Most of these are under 1 1/2 in bad weather. In Europe, you can spend that much just waiting for trains to go 45 miles). I highly recommend renting a car so that you are not constrained by train schedules, but if you prefer the train, the station at Huglfing is only minutes away. I cannot say enough good things about this place and especially about Andreas and Dorothee. They are sweet and helpful, and they provide an excellent family vacation experience. If you're bringing kids or friends to Bavaria, this is definitely the place for you!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in Elgfing! The house was so nice, and the setting was just perfect with beautiful views all around us. The hosts were wonderful, being so attentive, answering all our questions and giving us recommendations for where to eat and what to see in the area. They even had some food for us when we arrived. We walked to the nearby cafe often to purchase their wonderful breads, pastries, and cakes. We rented ebikes from the owners and loved biking on the nearby trails. Our grandchildren enjoyed playing at the natural park nearby and seeing the farm animals on the way there. It was all just a wonderful experience, one of our best vacations ever!

Summary: Andreas and Dorothee we're the best hosts that we have had in the 3 years we have been using HomeAway/VRBO. I was traveling my family and we would definitely stay with Andreas and Dorothee again. Their house had numerous activities for the kids all under 10. From board games, books and the great yard the time flew by. We were traveling by train and ended up being delayed by an hour after meeting at the property Andreas and Dorothee lead us to the local grocery store and help pick out groceries with us. The store was closing in 30 minutes and we would never have made it without there help. Our stay was most enjoyable. Thank you for a great time.

Summary: The house was beautiful, very well equipped, spacious and in a stunning location. Andreas and Dorothee were fabulous hosts and very helpful. Leaving some groceries is a very nice touch and was much appreciated.It is an ideal base for visits to beautiful castles, palaces lakes and mountains . This is a fabulous rental that will be difficult to beat!

Summary: This was our favorite house we've ever stayed in with VRBO or air b&b, it was wonderful! Very well decorated, clean, great bathrooms and bed rooms, kitchen was amazing and well stocked and they even brought us groceries and some local beer which was very thoughtful and considerate! Views of the mountains we incredible and made for great viewing enjoying a cup of coffee outside. There's a bakery just a couple min walk down the road with wonderful pastries, bread, coffee and several other things we took full advantage of. Hosts were wonderful, would definitely recommend and stay again! Thanks again!
