Your stay here will be comfortable, private, quiet and relaxing. There is a huge terrace with outdoor loungers and dining table, perfect for gazing out over the pool and beach or relaxing reading in the sun or in the shade. There is a separate garden, and outside kitchen area to the rear of the property with sink, BBQ/firepit, cushioned Canarian seating and tables and chairs.
The pool is completely private and sheltered, and fully heated to minimum 27c throughout the year. It is fully gated.
Fibre optic broadband and wifi, throughout the property and outside areas, gives fast, reliable connectivity offering the potential for work if necessary. There is a smart tv with internet box with all major European channels, and streaming services.
The sandy, lifeguarded beach is a comfortable 5 -10 minute walk and never crowded because of its size. It is always possible to find a place to sit, with space around, and ideal for children who can wander safely, make castles in the sand and play ball/frisbee etc. There are shells to collect and sometimes drift wood too.
The smart local restaurant (https://restaurantedunasdefamara.com) serving tasty and varied meals and surf school (https://lanzasurf.com) offering high quality surf lessons and equipment hire, yoga, skateboard and horse riding are both within short walking distance (approx 250m). A 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk along the beach takes you to the sleepy caleta where there are 3 small supermarkets and more restaurants. Our favourites here are El Risco and La Mar.
Our Famara house offers a perfect holiday for walking, surfing, cycling or just relaxing on the beach or by the pool.
The property consists of a large and newly fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen/dining room with wide-ranging views overlooking the pool and beach.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a beautiful oasis outside hot and cold shower.
There are 2 further bedrooms, a double and a twin, and recently fitted second bathroom with monsoon shower. There is ample storage and wardrobe space in each of the bedrooms and throughout the property.
The property and garden are large enough to offer the potential for people to find a quiet place on their own.
The large lounge with comfortable seating for 6 people, has full width, sliding doors to terrace and unimpeded views over the entire beach and across to the caleta in one direction, La Graciosa the other way.
Outside is a large, peaceful, well kept and private garden to the front, sides and rear of the property.
The terrace is perfect for night sky viewing, catching sight of birds of prey, lovely little Canadian birds such as pipits and hoopoes and watching the sea and sunsets over the beach. The peace and relaxation are exquisite - all you can hear are the waves on the beach.
There are lots of lovely walks, short and long, straight out of the house. Try the track above the beach, with views across to La Graciosa and down to the beautiful and wild Famara beach, or take a longer hike up to Morro Alto and in to Teguise town for lunch at one of the fantastic restaurants there.
You can drive the short distance across the Parque Nacional to Soo and on to La Santa to watch the waves and surfers; you might even be lucky enough to catch sight of a bustard strutting across the tundra.

Summary: We had an excellent time at the villa, it exceeding expectations with stunning views and with two children the pool was great (including being well sheltered from the wind). We enjoyed the local area including the surfing at Famara and La Santa and finally recommend the Dunas restaurant on site. The process with checking in was easy and Vince was on hand during the week for any issues.

Summary: The property was every bit as good as we'd hoped, set in a large beautifully designed and planted garden, with far reaching views in all directions, big private pool area, and amazing Manrique-style barbeque space. Inside was very clean and comfortable and spacious and everyone loved the outdoor shower! A very calm and peaceful location. Would recommend to anyone.

Summary: We loved the villa and I can't think of anything more that could have been provided. Everything was in good condition and it is clear that the owners do regular maintenance and continue to add and improve to the accommodation. Being at the top of this group of homes allowed for great views and the set up offered total privacy and relaxation. We loved Las Dunas restaurant close by, and also used the surf hire and yoga studio for a sports massage which was excellent. The hill can offer quite a climb both up and down, and I feel the distance to both beach and town were further than expected from the description. There is also no shop near Las Dunas and as we prefer not to hire a car so getting essentials like water etc offers quite a trek. We ate at a couple of the Famara restaurants though I felt they were more set up for locals than tourists. We visited Teguise both on market day and during the week, where we had excellent Tapas at a small cafe/restaurant called El Patio Creperie - highly recommend. All communications were good from both Sue and Vince, the latter on hand to help with a generous lift to Teguise and sort a number for taxi cabs - which were highly efficient once we managed to contact them! If I were to stay again I would defeinitly be brave and hire a car!

Summary: After a pretty tense year we decided to treat ourselves abs booked the villa abs we weren’t disappointed. Tamara is the perfect place to unwind, beautiful scenery and quiet abs the villa was perfectly positioned to take advantage the tranquility and scenery. The villa is very nice with quirky little features like an outside shower in the en suite which was quite liberating. The pool was the best part, heated so we are able to use it every day. We really enjoyed our stay abs would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Great stay, the property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. One small detail about the BBQ area at the back of the house: during our visit it was being worked on/redeveloped, so we could not use it, but should be fabulous when finished. Great heated pool, liked features like the outdoor shower.

Summary: Everything was just perfect, from the 1st contact with Susan, tu the end of our holidays. Beautiful house, totally kid friendly, very secured (our son is 7years old and our girl 19months), thé swimmingpool is perfect, the views all around are stunning. We were fully happy to stay at Caleta de Famara, which is beautiful and very very far away from the south « rivieira » full of tourists ☺️ We already think about coming again in « our » house.
