Our villa is on the edge of the serene Akamas Peninsula National Park in north-west Cyprus with sweeping panoramic views down to the sea and around to the vast Troodos mountains. A short drive to the beautiful coast and beaches of Chrysochous Bay at Lachi and Polis and yet only 35 minutes from Paphos International Airport. Perfect for couples, families and discerning travellers. Split on 3 levels, this luxurious 4 bedroom contemporary villa has everything for a quiet and peaceful holiday. Boasting a private swimming pool, poolside seating area with sail covering and a Mediterranean fruit ‘suntrap’ orchard. Separate alfresco dining area with large stone built BBQ. There are air-conditioning/heating units in all rooms for your use. All opening windows are fitted with screens to enable fresh air all the time. All terrace areas are fitted with safety rails. Free WiFi broadband and satellite TV. Separate games room on lower floor with 42” widescreen TV, and games. Modern bar stools & table
The lounge leads out to the upper sail-shaded patio with outdoor furniture, large stone BBQ and shower. Steps leads down to the swimming pool and lower patio area with sunbeds and umbrella. The pool is 10 X 4m, serviced regularly.
Behind the villa there is a secluded fruit and rosemary orchard offering a perfect sun-trap with all day sunlight.
Towels and linen are included, though we expect guests to bring their own beach and poolside towels. Weekly cleaning and linen unless by prior arrangement for an extra charge with Villa manager.
Local 24/7 assistance available for guests during their stay. Mountain bikes available for hire directly from the Villa manager who can also advise on all activities including watersports, boat rides, hiking, eating out and sightseeing (and much more!).

Summary: An amazing stay in a wonderful villa. Everything was as described and Jon the villa manager was extremely useful and supportive, a knowledge of everything in the area. The villa itself is absolutely stunning. Plenty of room for all. Extremely clean. Fun games room and a wonderful pool and bbq area. The villa is very remote so knowledge of the area is useful however we managed as Cyprus first timers (thank god for Google maps).

Summary: The villa is pretty good. The description matches the reality. It's a little bit secluded location, but it's a 15 minutes drive to the closest city or beaches. It's on the hill, so there's a constant breeze, which is great during the summer days. The swimming pool was cleaned regularly. There's a small, shaded area next to it where you can rest and chill or barbecue. There are a great see and shore views from there, however, a little bit disrupted by neighbor villas. We didn't like the basement sleeping rooms. There was no window, it was a little fusty and a little bit claustrophobic. We didn't use them. We were 2 families with kids and there was plenty of space for everybody. The kitchen was good, the baths were clean.

Summary: The villa stands in a fabulous location with wonderful views down over Polis on the north coast. We were glad of the breeze on the hottest days which dropped the temperature a couple of degrees compared to that at the coast. We spent quite a lot of time relaxing at the villa and made good use of the pool, which is a fair size. A few of the other villas nearby are clearly not in use and we saw very few neighbours in those that are, even at peak season; this makes for a very peaceful life. Located on the very edge of the village, it is a rural location, we were visited most evenings by a swooping bat and on one one occasion a large owl flew right across us. We only heard the cockerel crow on one morning and wonder if he didn't make it past Sunday lunch....expect other rural sounds including the barking of dogs. Contrary to the experience of another reviewer, we found the villa to be very clean throughout with the minor exception of the kitchen cupboards and drawers. In general it is well equipped, though we did add some small plastic bowls to the inventory for use when a soup bowl doesn't really work. Aside from the balcony light and possibly temperamental oven, everything else that we wanted to use worked well, including air-con and wifi (we didn't use the tv). A note on the room layout as it's not clear from the description or photos; the den and the twin bedroom adjacent to it are in what is essentially the garage, behind a thin garage door and the quirky chairs shown are no longer there. There is no natural light or window at all to the bedroom. We found that bedroom too dark and much too far removed from the rest of the house to be happy having younger children sleeping in there (It would be fine for older teens or adults). The village, within walking distance, has a couple of good restaurants but only one or two basic (and expensive) food shops. The freshest food can be found a fifteen minute drive away in the supermarket in Polis, including wonderful, still-warm, fluffy pitta bread. We enjoyed our stay, it was relaxing and you would never tire of that view.

Summary: The property is tucked away in the lower half of the village of Droushia in a relatively new but small, quiet and private development. A hire car is needed (which we had) as it's around 15 to 20 minutes to the nearby towns of Polis and Latchi - both of which have an abundance of smashing restaurants and the beaches at Latchi are truely amazing - not too touristy (like Paphos) but enough that you don't need to speak Greek. Highly recommend visiting the Polis Herb Garden in Polis and there is a great supermarket (Papantoniou) in Polis. We'd thought we'd eat in most nights and use the BBQ, but ended up only using it once because the restaurants are so good. Being set into the mountains, it was also lovely to get a regular breeze and the views are breathtaking. We had some issues with the cleanliness of the property on arrival (bathrooms were not clean and floor not swept), a shower door was missing and lights which were not working, which has been fed back to the owner but the pool was cleaned every few days. One of the bedrooms (the red stripe room) is set off from a converted garage which is the 'den' in the pictures with the bar stool chairs and turtle picture. It is built into the hill-side so has no windows and is dark and so providing you are not claustrophobic, it makes an excellent cool bedroom. Our trip was for a family of 5 (3 teenage children) and they loved it. Other than the grubby bathrooms on arrival, this was a beautiful property.

Summary: The property was spacious with views from almost every room. One of the highlights for myself and my husband was its pool on the sun terrace where you could sit in sun or shade all day and take a leisurely dip in the cool pool (professionally attended to twice a week). We just wanted a relaxing holiday away from it all and that;s exactly what we got. Oh and Jon the villa manager was an excellent host. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. You do however need a car if you want to get to the beach and the supermarket.

Summary: We stayed in Villa Rosemaria for 2 weeks with another family, so 8 of us in total. We has a most relaxing holiday, the villa is very comfortable and the games room was a big success with our teenagers. It is just a short walk in the village of Droushia where you will find several restaurant and the food at the hotel is of a high standard. John the villa manager is very helpful and wealth of knowledge. The villa has wonderful panoramic views of the coastline and we would love to return here sometime in the near future. Richard

Summary: What a lovely villa this is, beautifully presented, very spacious, well equipped and very clean in a great location. It's close to local amenities with supermarkets for lovely fresh produce and super restaurants. The Akamas peninsula is wonderful to explore, we enjoyed Lara beach, and the Avakas Gorge is spectacular. The beach near Aphrodite is beautiful. We would recommend Imogen's Taverna in Kathikas and there are some lovely places to eat in Polis. The mezes were amazing! I can definitely recommend this villa for families or couples it would work for anyone!
