Poppy's Cottage is a sweet hillside sanctuary overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands. Lovingly maintained gardens, comfortable furnishings, this stand alone cottage has stunning ocean views.
Open the French doors for spacious indoor/outdoor living, watch the sunrise in the east and set in the west. The intimate space is perfect for two and if you travel with your pets, dogs are welcome the yard is completely fenced. When the gardens are in bloom the yard is teaming with birds, butterflies, and sweet smelling blossoms.
Fall in love with Summerland and enjoy the magic it has to offer. Walk to beach, shops, restaurants, bar, parks, and miles of mountain hiking trails right from the front door. It's a quiet town and wonderful to explore on foot with your evening beverage or use hills to workout in the cool mornings.
Summerland is an ideal location to stay and explore the best the Central Coast has to offer. Montecito to the north and Carpinteria south are a ten minute drive. Santa Barbara fifteen minutes away. In our coastal zone there is no end of urban adventuring and nature to experience. The Santa Ynez Valley wine country is 45 to the north and Ojai is 30 minutes east. There is so much to do here and we are happy to share our favorite outings!
Highway 101 and the train run along the ocean, four blocks down from the cottage. With the unobstructed ocean view, you will hear sounds from both. Please consider your sensitivity to urban sounds if you are interested in Summerland. Poppy's Cottage comes equipped with WiFi, a hair dryer, propane BBQ, a washing machine, dryer, and heating. Summary: This is a cozy little cottage with a patio that overlooks the ocean. The owner is very nice and and helpful and the cottage was immaculate and had everything we could need. We sure loved the cool weather! Being that we are an older couple the loft stairs were not great for us but we made it work. Overall, we loved our stay at this house.

Summary: We spent a few days at this little gem and had a wonderful time. The view from the deck, the fact that you can walk into town to get a drink or a bite, all went a long way for us. The beach is a VERY short drive away. Pet friendly area. We had no idea Summerland was such a neat, little town. Sarah was gracious and treated us like family.

Summary: First of all I need to mention how great the host Sarah was. Communication was very easy, super friendly and fast. She also gave us tons of tipps for dog friendly places, which made it a lot easier for us. The cottage itself is as nice as on the pictures and the size was perfect for 2 adults, a child and a dog. Two of us used the bed in the upper floor and one the sofa bed on the main floor. The ocean view is certainly a big plus too. The only minor negative issue was that one front window in the upper floor couldn't be shut completely which resulted in some traffic noise during the night, but we still slept very well and other than that, everything was super.
