Summary: We went back and forth about booking due to the reviews and I’m so glad we just went ahead and booked. It’s definitely a good old northern cabin on the lake, outdated, and some spider webs. But, the lake was nice, nice dock, fire pit cozy, beds were comfy and we had a great time! Would definitely rebook if we find ourselves in the area again.

Summary: If you’re looking for a nice affordable cabin (not lake home) for your family vacation, this is your place! I’ll admit, I was a little unsure of what we’d walk into when looking at the last few reviews from last year. Those renters were off their rockers! This is by no means a lake house, so don’t have those kinds of expectations. The neighbor is so safe, yes there is only a screen door coming in off the backside, but it’s really no different than sleeping in a tent when camping. Regarding the “dusty windows” from what I could tell, they were clean, they just have condensation fog in them from being either a little older or not top quality. The cabin was clean. We had no problems letting our toddler lay and play on the floor. We didn’t note any of the stains other guests had mentioned. The steps are uneven like people mentioned, but again, it’s a cute, rustic old cabin. It completely served our purpose and surpassed our expectations. When I had questions for the owner, she was SO quick to respond. Everything functioned as we would have expected. We will 100% stay here again if we come up again. :)

Summary: We loved our stay. The cabin is very rustic and needs an update but the atmosphere is sublime. Quiet, rustic, romantic and the views are wonderful.

Summary: Rustic cabin in the woods. What we remember lake cabins were like when we were young. Quiet nights listening to loons sing and during the day fishing from the dock. No frills, but yet everything you need. A getaway from the hustle and bustle and technology of todays busy lifestyle. Kaylee was great to work with…responded to any questions we had quickly. If looking to unwind would recommend!

Summary: We had a great time. The cabin was a great place for our family to stay and enjoy the lake, camp fires and area. Owner was responsive and friendly. Basics provided, but no extras. Would have liked to have some water toys, like kayaks available. No A/C, which was ok, but can get warm during the day. Overall good experience.

Summary: Kacee was great with everything as always! Very helpful with prompt responses! Let us check in early with everything clean and ready to go! Pontoon ran great and had some great fishing including a couple fish fries and some to take home! Just what the we were looking for! See you next year!

Summary: Our week here has been great. The lake house is cozy, the lake, property, and town charming. Friendly, helpful, and generous people everywhere (including our host). This is among the best Northern MN has to offer. Can't wait to do it all again next year!
