Positive: Excellent and modern property that we stayed in on 2 separate occasions on our family visit to Japan. 3 comfortable and well-sized bedrooms along with 2 bathrooms all with new fittings and comfortable beds. Large dining/living area with large screen TV. Balcony to sit out on and all facilities worked well. Quiet, mostly traditional neighbourhood was welcome after the hectic atmosphere of central Tokyo. Stairs are not as steep as more traditional properties but still require some care. Owners communicated well and were generous to us. Having stayed in 6 accommodations across Japan this was clearly our family favourite and I'd highly recommend.

Negative: Nothing. All was of a high standard.

Summary: Modern, comfortable and spacious accommodation was a real holiday highlight for our family.

Positive: Very zen-like vibe. Felt at home instantly. Very clean, attention to detail and anticipated needs of the guests, in a very quiet location but very close to amenities and the train station. Our family loved their stay.

Negative: Would've appreciated blackout curtains.

Positive: My 3 friends and I were the first guests at this lovely house, and we had a blast! I had the best sleep(s) of my two week trip in Japan during my stay here thanks to the huge, comfy beds. Extra long detailed review since we're the first and we think it's worth it!! We also enjoyed the huge upstairs TV and kitchen room as our "conference room" to eat, sit and chat, and chill out each night. We didn't even use the kitchen to its fullest honestly, but everything you would have needed to cook was there. The bath and shower room is awesome, and you can control the water temperature from upstairs as well to get it ready. My friends found the bathtub took a good while to fill up though, so make sure to run it in advance if you plan on taking baths. There is also a one-machine washer/dryer in the bathroom, and the owner provided a handy video on how to use it. Every room has a dedicated heater/cooler unit, which was great for us especially since one of us was from a warm, tropical climate and liked it hotter. (His bedroom was usually much warmer.) It is extremely spacious and--well--home-like. Perfect if you're staying longer like we did, for a week. I will say if you have kids with you, the stairs area isn't great for around toddler age, but I believe it's mentioned in the listing. The location is great, with a short walk between two different train stations and different convenience stores nearby as well. My friends and I also walked to a Taito arcade nearby as well, which was maybe a 20ish min walk. Cute neighbourhood with lots of small restaurants. It is very quiet with many families around though, so be respectful and don't be loud and party outside in the evening. Lastly, the owner was very kind. Lots of extra amenities like snacks and coffee were left for us, which we appreciated.
