Positive: I was bike touring with friends on the C&O Canal Trail. We knew rain was forecast and appreciated getting a reasonable room for the night. The motel was busy with other tourists but management was accommodating and friendly.

Negative: It was an older property.

Summary: It fit our needs well.

Positive: Linens were lean, bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tv was new, Roku tv, but it hadn’t had the local channel scan completed so we couldn’t watch anything on the tv until my husband did the scan.

Negative: The Roku tv didn’t have online tv such as Netflix, it was unable to access these channels for some reason. The lamp in the room in the corner didn’t work, unsure why. The telephone in the room didn’t work even though it was plugged in. The breakfast was severely lacking as it only included 2 options for dry cereal, milk, OJ, coffee, very miniature muffins, instant oatmeal. There were only 2 granola bars and 2 cheese danishes out and it was 0645 so breakfast had just started. We were hoping for some fruit as we were riding the C&O trail and would’ve liked to have had a banana. The bathroom door didn’t fit the opening well. It appears that the rooms need to be renovated.

Summary: Inexpensive, dated motel that could be used as a brief stop while riding the C&O trail.

Positive: The price was reasonable. The beds were comfortable, and clean.

Negative: The hotel is run down, smells like mildew, the internet consistently went out, the rooms smoke detector had a plastic bag over it, the floors are uneven, the windows would not lock properly, the bathtub knobs. did not work properly, under the rim of the sink had mildew.the continental breakfast was cereal and pre packaged items. They lost my reservation, but magically found it after I showed them 4 times that I had booked.

Summary: It was my last time staying there.

Positive: The breakfast only had Cheerios and frosted flakes and caffeinated coffee and juice. We went to McDonald’s. Although the property was very clean and man at the desk was very accommodating, the room was in poor shape. The security lock on the door was gone. The hairdryer was ripped off the wall and it was very dated
