Positive: I had an amazing stay at Surftunnel. The building is a brand-new development, and everything was spotless. My room had AC, was super comfortable, and even had a beautiful sea view. Although the guesthouse is close to the main road, it was really quiet in the room plus you get sea view! all I could The location is ideal – right in front of perfect surf (Plantations), and just a short tuk-tuk ride to both Ahangama and Weligama. It’s easy to get around, and there are lots of cute cafés and restaurants nearby. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the host Mithun. Mithun was so kind, helpful, and welcoming – always ready with a smile and amazing local tips. I felt genuinely looked after and instantly at home. I can’t recommend Surftunnel enough – I’ll definitely be back!

Positive: We spent 6 nights here, and this was definitely the best accommodation during our 4-week trip. The hotel is completely new, the rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable, and you have everything you need in the room. But the best part of this accommodation is the manager, Mithun, who made our stay perfect with his warm and very attentive manner. He is truly the heart of this place and completes the (still) unfinished hotel. There are several shops nearby where you can rent boards. The surf spot is right on your doorstep and others are within close proximity.
Summary: Stay here if you want a perfect time :)

Positive: Staff was always super nice and helpfull. Rooms are very nice and spacious, same with the bathroom and shower cabins. Really nice showers with electric water heater in case of no hot water. (Most places in the area use sun heated water) The hotel is brand new, only some of the rooms are finished, so there were little things here and there; one of the switches kept falling off, and our neighbour had to smash their door in order for it to lock. Im sure these things will be fixed soon, and that this place will be great once it is finished!
