Positive: Great spot near Takachiho gorge, can walk right down to the hiking path and boats. Room had a great view and was big enough to be comfortable for 4 people. Nice simple breakfast included.

Positive: Great location, a short walk to the gorge, the temples and town. The host was very friendly and helpful. English speaking host. Suitable, clean tatami room. Nice breakfast room with eggs and toast, coffees and teas.

Negative: It was good.

Positive: Location was perfect, few minutes drive to Takachiho Gorge. The room was big and comfy.

Negative: It was a bit buggy, and the TV was way too small for the room if you are in to watching some Japanese TV before bed. Also the hallway lights did not turn off at night so it was a bit hard to sleep.

Positive: The owner stays late til 9pm to wait for our check-in -> good service. The owner prepared coffee and tea at lounge, alongside a bookshelf of comics. Although the breakfast was simple with just boiled eggs and toasts (drinks: coffee, tea, orange juice, tomato juice). It was a pleasure to enjoy them in the mountains of Kyushu.

Negative: It was futon beds, so they were not thick enough for best comfort. It may cause back problems for some travelers.
