Tamaki Lakehouse is modern and spacious, with spectacular lake views from almost every room. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area on the lower level opens out on to a large deck for lounging or alfresco dining. There's a BBQ on the deck and kayaks in the shed which you're welcome to use to explore the lake.
Take a stroll along the lakefront pathway to the Waiteti Stream, one of NZs top spots for trout fishing, or into the Ngongotaha township where you'll find a variety of small stores, including a cafe and supermarket.
Tamaki Lakehouse is only 8km from the city centre - and close to many of Rotoruas top attractions, including the luge, canopy tours and the Whakarewarewa forest.

It's a short walk to the Ngongotaha township, where you'll find a supermarket, cafe, bottle store, post shop, several food outlets and other little shops. .
Tamaki Lakehouse is just 8 kms from Rotorua centre and walking distance from the local Ngongotaha village. There's a bus service which runs into town and Rotorua also has taxi and Uber services.
Although the house sleeps up to 12 guests, the bunk beds are suited to children only as the mattresses are a basic foam style rather than innersprung- so a maximum 8 adults per booking is advised.
