We would love to have you stay at our newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment in Harlem! It's on a quiet, tree-lined street with an enormous back yard, which is completely unheard of in Manhattan. A short walk to Central Park or Columbia University campus. All public transportation is within easy reach, including express subway train stops, metro north, buses, and taxis. 10 minutes to midtown Manhattan. Great, friendly neighborhood, and wonderful restaurants and shopping right around the corner.
The apartment comfortably sleeps up to 4 people in two beds (one in the bedroom, and the couch in the living room converts to a second queen sized bed). It's perfect for a small family, or 2 couples who are traveling together for a short stay, but for longer stays it's best for an individual or couple. There is an eat-in kitchen complete with all of the amenities to make excellent meals.
The apartment is on the garden floor of a brownstone town house, and has direct access to a large, sunny back yard.

Summary: Overall, this was a great apartment! Friendly hosts, dog friendly (I have a service dog), beautiful backyard, and close to a major grocery store! However, the street constantly smelled like urine, the little shopette across the street always had people sleeping and loitering around, and my boyfriend and I saw used needles along the sidewalk as well as a few illegal substance transactions.

Summary: Randell & Heidi were great hosts! Very responsive to all my needs and getting my packages to me in a timely manner was excellent. The home was just as pictured and a large size for NYC. The private back yard was definitely a plus. Love the HULU TV which helped me get through the 6 weeks I stayed there. The bed was comfy especially if you have a bad back like me. Central heat and air and heated floors and dishwasher with full kitchen setup, which I cooked all my meals there. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with my stay. The neighborhood was extremely scary and I feared for my life everyday I stepped out of the house to walk to work at the local hospital to help out with Covid-19. Had I known it was fenced-in I would have brought my dog to help with the loneliness during the shelter in place. So bring your dog to this pet friendly home. My only recommendation is to install a washer and dryer there’s plenty of room in the dining room to do so. This place is a five star all around!

Summary: Well located close to 4 subway lines to get to Central Park, Times Square, Downtown etc., yet in a very quiet street: you will sleep without a single noise. Beautifully furnished, everything you need is there and even more, with high quality equipment. Recommend it. Friendly owners. Experience with Homelidays excellent: effective and prompt service.

Summary: WOW. This was a perfect VRBO for our NYC Holiday stay. Pics of the listing (what initially drew us to the property) are great and accurate. Location near subway, restaurants, groceries, W 125th Street through the heart of Harlem, so convenient. The owners are warm, friendly and helpful ( the one page, 2 sided brief instructions/information left in the apartment are the most concise, yet thorough, we've come across). Oh, and then the apartment itself--loved it!! Cozy, comfortable, eclectic and beautifully designed, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Since we were there over Christmas, we needed to do a lot of cooking in the little kitchen (has a gas stove, full size frig and a dishwasher, real pluses). It was just right for our needs. Really can't say enough about this wonderful apartment in Harlem. Cannot wait to stay there again!

Summary: This is truely a little gem nestled in the heart of Harlem! Randall & Heidi have prepared a comfortable apartment with shops and cafes and metro just ”around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay were very comfortable and if we ever come back to NYC we will be staying again.

Summary: We are a family of four, with two girls under 10, and we all had an amazing time visiting New York this fall, staying in the heart of Harlem which is just a short trip down town for all the regular tourist kicks. Our hosts were very professional, and the property was immaculate throughout. This garden level apartment was only recently renovated and it was fantastic to have access to a full kitchen to be able to prepare meals when we wished to. The back garden was huge, the biggest in Harlem, and is decked out with a huge table, fire pit, bbq and feature lighting. Harlem was an exciting and vibrant neighbourhood to be a part of. We stayed for 12 days, enjoying Halloween trick or treating, the NY Marathon and a sneak look at a location shoot for the upcoming Ghostbusters movie, all of which we took in from the end of our street. If you are looking for a more authentic experience when traveling to this incredible city, this is the perfect holiday apartment for a young family, couples or small group.

Summary: Great first floor level apartment in Harlam. Beautifully remodeled, very nicely stocked. Great safe vibrant nieghborhood. Easy jump on the subway to midtown or beyond. Some confusion about the duvet but owners were responsive. Thanks!

Summary: Lovely and clean accommodation, with everything you need for a stay in New York. Well stocked kitchen. Close to subways, Whole Foods, local restaurants, and bus stops. Took the M 60 from LaGuardia, and for $2.75, arrived two blocks from rental in about 45 minutes. Heidi and Randall were gracious and fantastic hosts.
