Positive: Location was great and in the middle of the countryside as we were after and barn has been very well done up. Our whole family loved the property and location and facilities and the welcome pack was a great addition. The nearest pub is quite a walk away, but we found great bars in Tipperary Centre in Lowrys and The Ramblers and the Hideout was a great pub in Monrad. Greta listening to the local wildlife including the barn owl that was constantly in the area and spotted on our last night. Easy check in and out process.

Negative: Slights drafts coming through the downstairs windows and WiFi not working so difficult to work. Tried to contact the owner and Sykes who said they’d email me, but no email received from either. The house booklet was a little outdated and no taxi numbers etc.

Summary: Great stay, facilities and location if you’re wanting to get away from it all. Great for listening to the local wildlife

Positive: All of it. It was cost and comfortable but still spacious.

Negative: Was a bit cold on arrival and in the evenings but we soon found the heating and popped it on for a bit to warm through

Positive: Superbly renovated 4 bed, 4 bath "barn" in rural Ireland with all the necessary features for a long stay (including laundry, good speed internet, well stocked and resourced kitchen, games for the kids, even fresh bread and milk on arrival). Mary, the owner, lives next door and was incredibly welcoming to our family and friends. GPS was a direct hit on the property, making it easy to find. No fussy check out procedures or laborious nonsense you often get with long-stay houses either - minimal fuss.

Negative: The company managing this property on the owner's behalf was a nightmare to deal with. After some back and forth messages and nearly an hour on hold on a phone call, we gave up trying to contact them to alter our booking details. In the end, it didn't affect us, but leaves a bad taste.
