Summary: We had a lovely stay at The Brakeman Hotel. Our room was excellent — spacious, well-equipped with great coffee facilities, and offered a fascinating view overlooking the cemetery. There’s a small coffee shop in reception, but note that it doesn’t serve food and has limited opening hours, so this may not be the place if you’re after on-site dining. However, if you’re looking for a high-quality room, friendly staff, convenient parking, and a great location close to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, this hotel is perfect.

Summary: The location was perfect and plenty of parking if you’re driving there. The only bad thing is there is no pool.

Summary: The location was excellent. Cross Rampart and you are in the quarter. We liked the museum in the lobby and the cleanliness of the property in general. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and efficient.

Summary: Awesome hotel. Very accommodating. Great location. Walking distance to all of the nice restaurants we went to for brunch and dinner. Can also easily walk to Bourbon. Hotel is really nice and interesting. Rooms were clean and very comfortable.

Summary: This was a rare find. Historic structure but rooms were modernized. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Big bathroom and bedroom. Quiet. Front desk check in was a little disheveled due to new staff but she was very helpful and friendly. Didn’t mind the inexperience because she was so nice and trying so hard. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
