Welcome to the romantic "Carriage House on Lake Superior"! This Carriage House sits upon the water's edge overlooking Lake Superior and provides beautiful views of the sunrises and sunsets on the glistening waters of Lake Superior.
PROPERTY
This coastal white Carriage House with cedar highlights is a 3-level home that has 1-bedroom, 2 full baths, one half bath, quality linens, and is outfitted with comfortable luxury Stearns and Foster mattress for a restful night's sleep. The Carriage House has everything you need to relax and listen to the waves for a private and up-close experience. Fully air-conditioned to make your stay comfortable on those warm days and an electric fireplace for a cozy setting on a cold day.
OUTDOOR PATIO & DECK
A lower walkout patio offers outdoor lounge furniture, accent lighting, fire pit, a gas grill, and a gas patio flute heater to keep everyone comfortable while providing beautiful ambiance on a lake evening. Just feet from the shore, the lower grass terrace offers sparkling views of the moon rise over the water or the warm glow from the fire pit. Firewood is stacked and onsite for your use. This terrace is situated on an 8’ overlook providing stunning views with stair access to the water. On calm days, take the kayak/paddle board combos (2 available) down to the water and glide across the clear lake for a refreshing recharge.
BEDROOM & SLEEP
The master bedroom is located on the upper floor and is outfitted with comfortable and luxury class king size Stearns and Foster mattress for a restful night's sleep on a modern platform bed. The master bedroom has a full bathroom and TV. For additional sleeping arrangements, there is a pull-out couch located in the lower level.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully equipped with stunning views of Lake Superior from the main floor kitchen and living room. A walkout deck overlooks Lake Superior and offers a relaxing and refreshing spot for morning coffee on the lounge furniture. The kitchen is stocked with a KEURIG one-cup coffee maker with stocked variety of coffee flavors, basket of snacks, toaster, blender, silverware, glasses, ice-maker, and all your daily kitchen cooking items and dishes.
LOWER LEVEL
The lower level features a walkout patio, a den area with views of Lake Superior, a full bathroom, pull-out couch, board games, life vests, beaches towels, TV, and a washer and dryer.
SMART TV & INTERNET
The Carriage House is equipped with Roku Smart TV's to live steam free content or connect the Roku TV to your paid subscription services. The Roku Smart TV's have a "Guest Mode" that allows you to identify your check in and out dates and the Roku Smart TV will automatically log you out of your subscription services on your departure date. Once you walk into the property, table top placards will identify the passcodes to connect your device(s) to free high speed internet.
LOCATION
The Carriage House is located at the start of the popular North Shore of Lake Superior while located close to the canal, restaurants, entertainment, and downtown Duluth. It is located only two (2) blocks from Brighton Beach Park (Kitchi Gammi) and Lester River Park for great hiking or mountain biking. A grocery store is within two (2) blocks. Summary: Before we even entered the rental we were enchanted with the view. Lake Superior is RIGHT THERE!! It was amazing, but of course, it got better. Entering the space (quite easily thanks to Tabitha's instructions) magnified the water view. Once we took our eyes off the view, we realized how amazing the rental space is all on its own. The layout is exactly as described in the listing. Three floors with the lower level feeling like its own private oasis as there is a door to close off from the main level. There is a sofa sleeper down there which was great for naps. Very comfy. The main level has the living room with comfy furniture, kitchen, fireplace and of course, that stellar view. The kitchen is very well stocked. There is no garbage disposal, and that was no big deal, but just be aware. The upper level has the primary bedroom, bathroom and accessible storage for your belongings. The king bed is very comfortable. There are skylights which provide an incredible stargazing opportunity late at night (it was a bit too chilly to actually spend too much time outside). The location of the property is great. A grocery store was within walking distance. The road in front of the property takes you everywhere you need/want to be.The outside areas provided lots of seating, but again, it was a bit chilly to spend time out there for us.We very much appreciated that the space was so clean, organized and well cared for. We'll be back!

Summary: The Carriage House was exactly what we were looking for. The view is amazing and the location is fantastic. It felt cozy but still plenty spacious for my wife and me. It would also work great for 4 people so we may even bring our two kids next time. Everything was exactly as described. We will definitely be back!

Summary: I knew when I pulled into the driveway I'd made the right choice for a quiet retreat spot to begin 2025.
