Summary: This was the second time we stayed here. 1st time, breakfast great. This time, 5 night stay and only day with good, fresh food was the last day, Sunday. The Fox and Hound was the bright spot in this place, though we paid for the food like a normal restaurant. Must ask for room cleaning service, and we did not. Bed mattress sink in middle, very uncomfortable.

Summary: Check in was very rushed, bordering on rude. We’ve stayed here 3 times but think we’ll look for somewhere else. Beds really need to be replaced. Chris in the Fox & Hound is the best bartender around!

Summary: The ambiance and overall experience was superb. A few things could use a spruce-up. (ie. replace the rusty shower curtain rod, perhaps larger bath towels). Otherwise, accommodations were quite satisfactory. The bar tender, Chris, at Fox & Hounds Tavern was spectacular!! All staff were cordial and attentive! We love The Cheshire, and it will remain our destination for our stays in St. Louis!

Summary: This is not a cookie cutter hotel ..... structure is very old but interior is interesting and pretty neat. They need to pay more attention to towel service in gym and pool area. Front desk employees are really nice.

Summary: Booked for the location and pool, as well as the curiosity of the quirky vibes. The staff were friendly and professional - no complaints there. It's the state of the rooms and shared spaces that are really disappointing. This place has been through it and the wear + tear is on full display. Needs a FULL gut and refresh. Attempts have been done in the bathroom, but it's all a bit janky and leave you feeling dirty. If you are taller than 5'5' good luck with the super low shower head position and light fixtures that protrude from the low ceilings. Lots of broken things, non-functional switches and halfway measures with the fixes. There aren't normal size pillows for some reason and they are folded into squares for some reason, too. So much dust, grime, etc. You can tell it was once something cool and has fallen into disrepair. Hope someone comes in and revives this concept because you see the hauntings of charm it once had.
